Davidu
Now I'm really afraid to post. What if some MOD doesen't like what I post? I think these rules are a little bit too strict. Sometimes I like to post off-topic things in a "too-serious" discussion just to make the atmosphere breatheble (know what I mean?). So, I don't want to get banned or restricted for that. I understand why you did this, Gob (King Mega is plain stupid...) but that should be taken care of in a much more subtle way... the way that you adopted looks like the Gestapo a little bit. I'm sure you'll find a resonable way of dealing with this problem without scaring us. ;D
King-Mega
Davidu ,I am not stupid.
ken124578
Its going to be a case-per-case basis sneezer. And ultimately its upto the global moderators (fed2k staff) and myself to decide. If you don't think we have good judgement well there isn't much I can say. This explaines everything.
nemafakei
Davidu, no-one's going to remove something you say because they don't like it. Things will be removed when what people say is offensive, vulgar, spam, inflammatory or breaking the rules in some other way. There's nothing wrong with making a little humour out of the discussion, so long as it doesn't turn the thread into a large quantity of silly remarks. Seal89999
Man put back the Ichwan Bedwine group. It was cool and I enjoyed viewing the things in there. So did others. And not everybody had access. Why not make some sort of restrictions or something. I liked that feature. I agree, whats the harm in letting it be. I wont bother going on about the status and post thing either because i guess your mind is made up for now. Wish it wasent............. Edric O
Well, I personally like the new system... post restrictions are the best cure for spammers. And don't worry, Davidu, I'm sure no one will detele/lock anything without good reason. After all, nobody ever got eaten by Gob... he just eats people's heads. ;D
sneezer3
Its going to be a case-per-case basis sneezer. And ultimately its upto the global moderators (fed2k staff) and myself to decide. If you don't think we have good judgement well there isn't much I can say.Well, all i'm saying is if a moderator don't like something he reads and gets mad. What is to stop him from reduceing someone elses posts? I think it would be a good idea to put something up like "report to Gobalopper" If someone is abuseing there mod powers. BUT if there not and you fill its obvious there posts gets restricted even more. or maybe even a small ban.Another idea is you could have it were that at least one other modorator has to watch them reduce someones posts and approve of it(or the admin).I dunno your the admin you get to pick whatever you thinks best, i mean its your site for crying out loud! ;)
Gobalopper
The only moderators that will be able to change post limits are those with the FED2k Staff label and that is only a few. Anyone with that label I trust to be fair when handing out punishment.
SurlyPIG
Innovative strategy for punishing spammers...but is this exclusive to flamers or is this the new replacement punishment for all...repeat offenders?
DjCiD
A zero a day post limit is like a ban, they can still view the site (and what others are saying about them) but cannot reply. :D[hide]I think he was talking about me ;D[/hide]
Gobalopper
It depends on the offense but this way we don't have to ban someone just give them 0 posts per day. Before when you were banned you couldn't view anything either.Attachment folder has been cleared out as well.

Andrew
Anyone found posting links to sites that cause your browser/computer to crash will receive an automatic ban. shouldnt that also apply to misleading people to what the link is?if i were to post a link to a porn site/a bad site, that would be wrong. Misleading would be appropraite way of putting it.
GhostHunter
Sorry, but I'm on for a limited time so these questions made have already been answered but I feel the need to post them up before I go again.1) Question - Besides you informing us by instant message or some other form, is there anyway to determine if we are limited posting wise?2) When we were chatting Gob, you showed me the new board interface, when will we be upgrading to that?Again, sorry if they were already answered but I'm down to about 10 minutes maximum on the computer for a few more days, thanks. Gobalopper
That was just a beta of the next version Vilgent so I don't have a time on when it will be ready, I guess it might be considered pre-alpha as of now.

anklbter8
Dang, just realized that I don't have the post count anymore. I've read it a few times just didn't click. I can understand not wanting to put labels on people anymore but I really don't see the harm in viewing how many times you've posted. Nyarlathotep
Is it me, or is there a prob with avatars ? I can't see most of them, not even mine, but the one for Dj I can see. This happened after the last change I think.[Edit]Nevermind. I cleared the cookies which solved the problem. I noticed that the avatar pics couldn't be found, same for the attachments. Clearing the cookies solved it.
