I don't remember when I first registered on fed2k on my first account (although I'm sure someone could check) I think it was before Emperor was even made.. It was like the Dune 3000 board or something, ah those were the days, when the dune2000 forum was the most popular, before Gaming, Fanfiction and Politics...

It says I registered in January 12, 2002, but I've been lurking for quite some time before that. I'm not sure if that means MoiDib registered Jan 12 or my new account did, which would mean my old account goes back even further. I've always thought of myself as the new guy anyway. New to Dune, new to Dune 2000, and new to the movie. Ah the joys of discovering a world so vast.

Actually, it's the British that use s I think. I've always used Z (I'm american).

Googlefight says that recognize is more popular.

I have Finnish - (Brittish) English - Finnish dictionary and it states that "recognize" and "realize" are both written with Z. In the Internet, I have seen mainly Americans using S.

Keep in mind that the board only goes back to about mid-2000. Before that we used a different messageboard system and the posts/members were not all converted.

And as for the use of the S and Z in American and British English, apparently us brits also use the z for a few words (just to stop the Z from rusting, see...).
