My BO and macro have never been perfect, money probs weren't that unique for me. So I was more like a micro player (or atleast tried to be one). - hit and run's with lasertanks. - fucking someone's base up with gas early game (with qm settings: fog on and small maps). - luring buzz's and then suddenly deploying mortar with sard on a rock. - fucking all his inf with 2 fremen snipers. - distracting mino's with a scout and then fucking them with fremen. - ... stuff like that i liked allot. it are all very small damages for the enemy, but when it counts up it can lead to their defeat. In a real battle my chances to win were less high. I mostly tried to get my army in a shape of a 'C'.

Use that build order on any 2/4-player map vs. a decent player and you'll be toasted.

imo a 'click-fest' just makes the game interesting. U've got to micro ur units like hell to gain as much as possible advantage, but you've to know why ur clicking. Ur giving many orders at a very small period of time, for me that takes a lot of skill and concentration to do, there are also tactics involved in this. U've got to make the right clicks and not just click like a mindless chicken on the map. At warcraft fe they measure ur apm, ur clicks in 1 minute. For a pro player it's around 250, for someone who hardly plays online it's about 20. I get about 100

sc and dow are very simular in gameplay. infantry squads aren't that unique anymore, BFME fe also represents it. Maybe u should add WC3 to the list, with the use of strong heroes (who are able to level) it has a little RPG factor, but ofc it stays a RTS. Or Z, maybe somewhat less know, but it is a RTS where u aren't able to build any units. (it is automanaged, based on the terretories u posses)

Maybe we could clone ourselves. Create some kind of army of clones to play e:bfd we'd have enough players for sure

I assume that you may be interested for some popular online 'tactics'. Here is the DEVESTATOR BOMB: Play harkonnen Build up enough flame towers and walls to get up ur defences, while doing so, tech ASAP to devestators. Walk with those devestators to the enemy base (this should go kinda fast) Gather ur devestators around enemy refineries Select all ur devestators and press "D" The whole enemy base will blow up Yea, I admit, it can be kinda lame, but sometimes u gotto be tough in online competitive gaming! 8)
