This thread partains to religion, but is not meant for argument or expressing of opinion. I really do want this to work because I want to see the diversity of Dune fans. Sadly, you must at least have read Dune to do this. It is a very sketchy census on people who have read Dune and loved it, and their religious or non religious opinions. I bear no ill will and wish for no argument. I repeat. This is not a typical religion thread! I am not doing this for bad intentions, I hope you would agree that I do have integrity. If not than you dont have to post. Everybody has their own opinion.

Now of course this is a very very VERY general catagory list that sets people's beliefs into classes. Of course it isnt that set in stone and I understand that completely. Again no argument. I just want real answers. I will myself post what I believe and will not attack.

Finally! here it is.lol

Extreme Atheist: Believes that religion should be abolished and is open about it. Openly argues about the issues and wishes for people to quote

I am a literal Theist.

It is what my heart really calls for me. I like to think I have studied other beliefs but I do admit a bias on my part. I believe completely and literally in my dogma but try (even though I do fail) not to be a legalistic jerk to others. Sorry for all of you I have done that to. I would say about a million.lol :)

Overall, I'd say I'm a deist for the most part. That is, I believe the universe, time, science/natural law, etc, must have been created and set in motion by something, but I don't believe said being has any more significance (i.e. this being doesn't watch over us or anything).

Also, I see most organized religion as a form of law, so to speak.

Keep in mind that I don't judge the belief of others. If people choose to believe in something "good" - a god, for example. Most religions have these - then there's absolutely no problem with that.

Oh, and when I feel like it, I'm an >r<ist. It's a cult I made with a few people I know online. :D

I guess i'm a iberal theist I beleve in a god because hte universe didn't go POOF!!!! and were here something must have created something and then the big bang happened and BAM!!! I'm here In Cali with many beautiful women! Its called Hollywood My friends "the land of money and fake tits"! ;D ;D :D

I would say I am:

Instituted Agnostic: This is a person who is pretty sure of what they are going to believe, but still search in order to fully understand what others believe

I study religion for my degree and have found that when I started the course I was bit unsure about what I believed and now I have less idea than ever, but I know which way I sway.. if you get me.

Well, I was going to post in this last night, I even told TMA-1 I was going to after my dad got off the computer, but my parents, thinking I wsa faking sick made me go to bed (since I was sooo sick). Strep throat and Bronchitis! In your face Mom and Dad!

Stout Theist to Literal Theist, it depends on how much I'm questioning.
