(or at least by June, 2004.)I think someone got sick of pyramid quotes.I remember one thread where people kept quoting the previous person, and the quotes got so long with so many quotes that it looked silly.I have nothing against 1 quote within a quote, because it could help with better context. (especially if a short quote of a quote)I have been unable to find the thread/post (most likely in the Site Updates thread) stating why.Both Fed2k search and google are no help. Now I'm pissed. I'm pretty sure he meant when I click quote on your post, I only get what you said quoted and not what you quoted.I could go through the thread and find the quotes to put in quotes manually (copy/paste) but that is usually time consuming.
