Dunenewt
It doesn't tell me from a specific data.
Edric O
How can you tell how many posts you have averaged since the beginning of the Revolution? You make a note of your post count at one point in time (which I did shortly after the Revolution began), then at a later date you can see how many posts you've made since then and divide them by the number of days.If you did not make a note of your old post count, I don't think there is any way to find out your average posting rate. If you did have only about 50 more posts than me, however, then your post count was around 6700 at the beginning of the revolution. That was about 35 days ago, so your revolutionary posting rate is around the staggering number of 20 posts per day.Oh, and you've just overtaken Nema a few minutes ago. Dunenewt
I have posted 374 times as of this post since the beginning of this month, which makes my posting rate just under 20 per day.Edit - post rate per day since the beginning of the Revolution is 20.25 roughly. Edric O
And this is post #2000 for the month of March 2008! 8)It's the first time in over two years that we got this many posts in a month. Well done everyone, and let the revolution continue!
Dunenewt
We are on course to get over 3000 posts this month too, which is very good news.

Timenn
I think it is time Edric changed his title to "Bureaucrat of the FED2k Staff".Though, all the effort from you guys is appreciated.

Edric O
Nonsense posts will be dungeonized and fed to the Yeti. You can spam only as long as your posts make some sense. :P
Andrew
So, do the dungeon posts count in overall posting? For people that can see the dungeon are the numbers higher than non dungeon seeing people? I've always wondered that.
Edric O
I don't know. I will send this post to the dungeon to see what happens.Edit: Experiment successful. The effects of sending a post to the Dungeon are as follows:- Total forum post count remains the same;- The personal post count of the post's author is reduced by 1, and he does not recover this loss if the post is taken out of the Dungeon;- The dungeonized post no longer appears in the list of recent posts on the main forum page. Kokiri-Mentat
lol. interesting experiment. bet the dungeon post are either very interesting to read or very boring, depending on why they were sent there.
Edric O
99% of the posts in the Dungeon are either spam or out-of-control flaming. The rest are posts about pirated software and such.
Kokiri-Mentat
Ahh, gotcha. so mostly boring.
Dante
Back when I could still see in the dungeon I found some of it quite interesting. It was educational, and a good warning.Whee, look at me folks, post post post! Isn't it fun?*mutter*
Andrew
Ahh, gotcha. so mostly boring.Yes mostly boring. Although there are a couple good threads (flame wars as Edric mentioned).
Dunenewt
Over 250 posts yesterday!Perhaps we could make it so that a dungeonised post gets you -2 on your post count, to stop people advancing up the ranks so quickly by spamming and flaming?Edit - Yesterday was the busiest day since 19th August 2004! Well done everyone, and keep it going. gunner154
Flame wars have got to be interesting, especially the freshwater creature ones...
Dunenewt
I think we need to sort out some kind of plan as to how to attract people who are interested in the upcoming Dune movie to this site.
gunner154
Attract people? You aren't talking about about an email list, are you? ;)
