A Sniper is Terrorizing the US

I would find it way more difficult to kill a child then an adult- wouldn't you?

Chilren are weak, they cannot fight back so easily. Hence: Are easier to kill. They are also easier to trick, and then kill. Adults have learnt.

The murders [ situation, place, time ] don't have to be random. They might appear that way. But "we" can't say.

The victems then could just be random. Just at the wrong time at the wrong place.

The bullet thing doesn't apply. They can be customly fabricated outside the US for instance.

I don't see children as weaker parts of / in our sociaty as you mention them emprworm. In my opinion they are the strong part of our sociaty. A lot of strength we have comes from them. Economical, social and as psychological support for instance. The children are hardly weak in this world.

And I'm not saying this to make a pointless remark. It's just the way I see them in our current world. I'm not even daring to make a debate in this topic. It's way to sencetive for that.

But I just wanted to show my interpretation, not not counter anything. But to [ possibly ] expand anothers vision.

:)

Of course children are strenghts to society! Of course they are assets. You honestly thought I meant they are a liability? Children are perhaps the greatest strength to society. They are PHYSICALLY WEAK AND DEPENDENT that was my point.

emp, you are beginning to annoy me, I hasten to say..

This is a thread that concerns a nasty thing that is happening.

Perdanticism, and your persistent picking holes on people's comments illustrate lack of compassion to the topic.

Whether it is children, teenagers, adults, or old people - the fact of the matter that there is a serial killer on the lose.

Show some respects please, for those that have perished as much as the future victims (hopefully not) until the guy is caught.

Show some tact, please!

pointybum if you dont like what i say, that is fine, it is your right. you dont have to agree with me. i see killing children as more despicable than killing adults. most people in society agree with this view. you dont need to agree with it. But if you take something i say out of context and distort my words, I will not be very pleased. I was not upset at gryphon for debating with me, I was not pleased that he distorted my words. I was not doing anything to him, i was leaving him alone. But he still challenges all my posts. Ok, thats fine. But when he twisted my words, I dont like that. You can have your opinion of me for it.

My two cents,

Maybe (depending in which country, state or province) legally killing a child, teen or an adult is the same under the law's umbrella.

But when it comes to my feelings I have to say that moves me deeply if a child is killed more than if an adult is killed, both situations makes angry, furious and sad but if a murderer kills a child, that affects me more, and I think that many people think the same way.

If under extreme conditions you would have to choose between saving a life of children or a life of an adult, what would you do? I'd choose the child as a first option.

To be truthful and trying my best not to appear arrogant, I should detract from 'just' saying you but to all those in this posting.. Show some tact - do you really think this a debatable issue? To talk about it maybe but to debate it? Innocent people are being used as cans for practise, to talk about it in this way is insensitive.

Show tact, must I say again. And that does mean - no flaming.

If that cant be honoured than your opinions will carry no weight. At least wisdom tells anyone that.

I would PAY to personally catch this guy and beat the crap out of him. He may be insane, but still...children..? This guy crossed the line, even with the first shot, and i think he should get the death sentene, no doubt.

i do think its time to reopen the tower of london. Any UK'ers here?

lmao

Yeah here.

I think the tower of london was used for royal prisoners only - a kind of exhibition of public ransom in the olden days before ther erm.. internet.

Scotland (Draconis IV), that counts. The Tower is a great place, it's been a fortress, prison, church, palace, mint, museum, castle, home, etc... The whole thing is drowning in History! I just love it!

And killing a child is no worse than killing an adult. If I had to choose, seeing a sniper aiming between them, which to jump out and save before he shot them both, it would be the adult. Why? Because one has to comfort a child and protect them. An adult would assist in going after him.

How can anyone make a sound judgement by choosing life based on age when you are about to be shot dead? I have never heard such a vacuous comment.

I tell you what. Go out there and be a target, report back when you've been hit - I'm sure we'd be interested to know how its like.

Yes this is indeed a sad thing. I am tired of waking up to this guy having killed someone each day. I'm also wondering if it is time to call Uncle John...big arsenal of weapons, white van, sniper rifle, liscence to buy and detonate explosives, lives in the D.C. area. But yes, I hope they do catch this guy.

On a personal note: I hope that they kill him when they find him. His trial would just cause minor riots and cost taxpayers tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. Then no one would probably end up happy with the verdict. I mean really, if he's got the rifle in his hand, and you think he can be dangerous and you are a cop, well an accidental discharge of your weapon can't be too wrong...

This is why most serial killers committ suicide, eventually..

In the first place, how did this guy get a sniper rifle and the ammunition for it, so he could use it on innocent civilians? Is this guy some sort of a retired soldier or something? Shouldn't there be more control of firearms in the U.S.? I read an article about this in the paper a few days ago, and I was discussing it with one of my friends at school. We found the part where it said on the card: "Dear policeman, I am God" really weird, and I think he found it kinda amusing.

He is playing with the police. Just like a lot of serial killers.

He wants to get recognision for his work. He thinks he is smarter then everybody else. It does not have to be a mentally disturbed person. It might be your "o so friendly" neighbore, or it might be somebody like Nav.. (or even me)

But as he is a good shooter, he must be registered somewhere. He must have learned it somewhere...
