Music that you are "listening" to?

I know that there is the thread about what you are listening to. But with this thread, I mean it a bit wider. What kind of music are you "listening" to? What music do you like now? Post what song/album you can't stop listening to. Also, a short review would be nice. :)

Me:

The Offspring: Greatest Hits - Catchy, but still true to rock. A buit of funk, I guess.

The Chemical Brothers: Galvanize - Good electronic music. Perfect for listening to in class or while you're walking around, because the songs are pretty long(Believe=7 minutes, Galvanize=6 minutes)

The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan - Great funky music. Very catchy tune, lighthearted.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Californication - Lighthearted songs, no hard rock. Great songs like Scar Tissue

Red Hot Chili Peppers: By The Way - Slow rock music. Pretty good, I guess.

The Bloodhound Gang: Hefty Fine - In my opinion, it isn't a very good album compared to the others. A few god songs like Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss and Farting With a Walkman On

Radiohead: Ok Computer - A nice alternative album. Ok to listen to when you're doing something else.

Franz Ferdinand: You Could Have It So Much Better - I think that with this album they really achived what they were trying to do. Comes with great songs like The Fallen, Eleanor Put Your Boots Back On, and Walk Away. Alternative rock, with some funk elements and one acoustic song( Eleanor Put Your Boots Back On)

Well, that is all I can think up now. What about you?

lately, i'm mostly listening to... (taken from my i-tunes most listened to list)

turbonegro ~ apocalypse dudes (album) crazy norwegian death punk, great musicians, amazing guitar, and um... interesting lyrics.

kyuss ~ one inch man, chilled out stoner rock

jimmy eat world ~ 23, heartbreaking, emo, slow and beautiful

jack johnson ~ holes to heaven, nice acoustic chilled coolness that reminds me of good times.

jeff buckley ~ hallelujah, another sad song, beautiful, haunting, and jeff buckley has a goosebump-inducing voice.

dashboard confessional ~ saints and sailors, defiant acoustic "I-can-live-without-you" type song.

biffy clyro ~ joy discovery invention, eclectic rock that goes from chilled to rawr! to bouncy, to jaggy to chilled to nice to loud.

him ~ sigillum diaboli ~ love metal, finnish goth rock.  beautiful.  i love ville valos voice, it does strange things to me.

starship ~ we built this city (on rock and roll), the greatest song in the world, ever.

Ben Folds and Flaming lips at the moment. Oh and Franz Ferdinand's new albumn.

It's great, isn't it? Which song do you like the best, if there are any?

Well 'You Could Have It So much Better' is a cracker of a song, brilliant lyrics especially "I wasn't down, I just wasn't smiling at you". 'The Fallen', another cracker love the guitar. Erm 'I'm your villian', 'Walk Away' oh its all so good.

cybo.. i have been lucky enough to catch the mighty turbonegro live twice now (and have had very unfortunate circumstances where i've had tickets and for one reason or another have missed the gig twice as well... gutted).  i am going again in november.. eeeeeeeeee.

i love them very very much, live they are such a tight, talented group of musicians and absolutely mental!  being covered in glitter and confetti and balloons and fake money and all the people in jugend jackets and sailor hats.  there's nowhere on earth like a turbonegro gig!!  hehe.. where have you seen them?

cool cool Chani !

I`ve seen them in my birth town  Bergen (Norway) a couple of times and at Roskilde Festival.

I totally agree, they are somting for them selves.

I live in Denmark now but hope to see them here again soon.

I don't like the new Franz album, its missing something.  They seem to have stolen other peoples songs and just ripped them off.  If I listened to some of the songs on the album without knowing who it was, I could have picked out a song that sounds alot like White Stripes and a song that sounds like the Beatles.  It's bland, its not a patch on the first album at all.

Like I said, there is no definitive song.

I like rock and some nu-metal or metal-rock wutever u wanna call it. Through times its always Ratm that i can listen to over and over again, even since its almost 14 years since their first and best album, it still one of the best things ive ever listend to.

Rage against the Machine , some good ones to point out if uve never listend to Ratm b4:

- Guerilla Radio

- Know Youre Enemie

- Take the Power back

- Wake Up (matrix soundtrack, music from 1992 :) )

I've gotten into two bands that I recently came across... Hatebreed and In Flames. In Flames' album Colony is especially interesting. The ballad off their Whoracle album is a good listen.
