Hi all,

There are so many different people from different countries here, that i was wondering what kind of job you all have, or what kind of school/education you are following.

I myself am a programmer, and next to that i do in the evening a bachelor eduction for programming  :O

(Although i am in my final year, the last half year i did not do anything about school as i am currently working abroad).

3rd year business administration with a minor in economics.

Don't have a real job, but I cut grass and work on the farm in the summer.

Grass is fun because I am the boss. :)

Being borned and raised in Vietnam I quickly found it very hard in England, I quickly managed to straighten out my English, even though i still speak too quickly and i find some words hard to pronounce in English especially when i talk in a rush.

I go to school in England, right now i am at a college and it is fine

Thank you

I'm a licenced security officer working for a very prestigious corporation.

Yeah, right.

I'm a rent-a-cop and make very little money.  Booyah.  Hopefully I'll get into university sometime, to take anthropology and history.  But right now, I'm just working.

I'm in the second year of my computer science study at the VU, which is one of the two universities here in Amsterdam. Doing it quite well, not perfectly, but I'm happy this way.

Other than that, I have a job on saturdays, which has the name "mailman". That's right, I put all the mail I should deliver in the right order, and then I'm going out for a walk, and I stop occasionally by a door, and deliver some mail. And guess what, it is a nice job to do, and it pays well.

irl ? you mean there is something besides the internet ?

For schooling I have a degree in sociology [ cultural and philosophical sociology to be more correct ] and Enginering [ network engineering to be precise ]. Still learning network stuff. Although that comes with the job.

I work freelance with a couple of ex-classmates of mine to help small and starting companies with all their network and internet needs. For my real job I am a network engineer for our government. A position in which my boss likes to make me switch position as often as possible where my profession is needed.

I'm attending college right now, and working part time as a programmer ( computer software engineer, to be more correct ).

You're not a rent-a-cop, yer a wanna be rent-a-cop.  The real rent a cop's are the guys at university Protection and the Rideu center.  You're too... Adrian to be a rent-a-cop.

Yup, it is.  'Course here you have to do it in -40C weather.  Which is probably a downside.  Otherwise it does sound pretty nice.

No one touch that joke.  We all see it, we're qall thinking it, so actually saying it is kinda pointless.

They had me make a choice, work here, or in Canada. That weather thingy was probably one of the reasons that I chose to stay here.

But if you said Canada we could be roommates.  And make omlettes.  With three different kinds of cheese.

Sicne I don't eat eggs, you would get them all for yourself, too!

How am I a wannabe rent-a-cop?  I have a licence and a uniform and everything.  Sometimes, they even give me a cellphone!  You're just bitchy 'cause you've been fired, and are likely more than slightly inebriated.

And I live in the same city as you, and you never invited me over for omelettes...

I've invited you out plenty of times, you just always come up with some kidn of excuse cause you think I'm some kind of internet pedophile.

And I am not inebriated in the slgihtest, although I am pissed off with my keyboard which I have to reconnect every second sentnce I type.

I am not some sort of internet pedophile.  I'm a very specific sort of internet pervert.  There is a difference, you know.

And as for work, today is your day off and you still refused to go do anything!

I just recently changed jobs. I was a shipping manager for a small chemical/janitorial company and am now the warehouse manager for a rather large water heater company.

So now instead of loading trucks and pulling orders I am tell people which trucks to load and what orders to pull.

You know if I believed in such a thing as reincarnation, I would have to saw in a past life I must have been king.... I seem to be rather good a telling people what to do ... and I like it  ;D

I'm a second year law student in Groningen (the best damn city in all Dutchland)

One or two days a week I work at a distrubution centre where I load containers and deliver them to docks, from where they're shipped to grocery stores by truck. Pays well enough.

Tsk tsk, you deserve to be fired.

I'm a student at Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland.  I'm studying Computing at the moment... half way through my first year.  First semester is all but over, all exams complete.  I don't have a job yet... my student loan and bursary seems to be tiding me over for now.

All in all, my real life isn't quite as exciting as my internet life.  I much prefer being Dragoon Knight than Chris Smith. :)

(P.S. It has to be pointed out at some time, so I'll do it.  Yes, I am aware of the humour value of my name... try saying it with a lisp ... ... that's right, Merry Chrith Thmith to you, too.) ;D
