has this one been mentioned. . . after returning from work the tune stuck in my head and now I can't get it out again.

Iggy Pop - Candy

Some dude made a weird home style version of it to. Sort of the same style as the Chop Suey

Have any of you listened to Steeleye Span before? Their music is a cross between rock and folk. I'm currently listening to (and enjoying) their 'Best of Steeleye Span' album. Steeleye Span is a band from Ireland, for those who do not know. They have good vocals to my untrained ear, but the instruments seem to be a supporting feature

Steeleye Span - Alison Gross

Coming up:

Django Reinhardt - Improvisation

Edit: The instruments are most definitely  not a supporting feature

Well why don't you listen to the actual music then?

Forumite laziness.

Ah, so I'm not the only one with Daft Punk crossing his path. I'll go check Justice then (not a clue what's happening with France's music these days). If you want French music, I might throw you some Quebec things: Jorane (some English), or if you want "Quebec French", try Mes Aieux and see if you need a translator, you linguist you ;D

I might be going to Quebec in the 09/10 academic year.

Poor bastard.  Wonder if they'll make you sign their new "Loyalty Oath".

'Course, you'd better not complain about it now that your government is intercepting, reviewing, and saving every single e-mail and text message that originates in or is sent to the UK.  They might tell CSIS, who will tell INIS, who'll tell the RCMP, who will... make a file about it after questioning you and deeming you not a threat.

Nice, Gunner.  Life on Mars is one of my favourites.

Newt, if you do end up coming to Quebec, you'll have to spend some time over here in Ontario.  I'll start soaking the beavertails in rye in preparation.

And I'll start... I dunno, waiting for the beaver tails to be suitably soaked?

But you'll have to buy the beer, it's half the price on the Quebec side.  Vangaurd and I will pay you back.  We promise.  Like Gob promised me a hat.

You can generally get a pint for around $6 in a bar.

Australia you can get a schooner for $4, but bottle beers are much more expensive than in Canada as they haven't had the buck a beer explosion over there.

huh, where is this buck a beer thing happening?

Currently $17 for a 12 pack on sale. Although our government is the only one allowed to sell booze, so maybe we get taxed more (they increased prices by 54 cents per dozen last month).

also does some mod want to merge the booze related posts to the booze/drunk thread?
