Doesn't this seem fake to everyone?

Look at the post quality and content for the last few months - it's horrific. There isn't anything that's getting posted that's the slightest bit entertaining by any shot. What's even worse is the fact all I see nowadays is continual butt-kissing in posts; People are posting things they'd never actually say. What are we trying to do with all this fake happiness and useless posting, duplicate the type of conversation shared at an office party?

Come on Fed2k, I know we're capable of better quality, and individualism than we're currently showing. The "we're not getting a lot of new members, people aren't visiting as much," etc isn't an excuse - I'm referring to the posts that are being made. And did you ever stop to consider that perhaps the member amount is directly related to the fact there's no content-draw any longer? I think we all know this is the truth, so why stop this nonsense trend and become the great forum we were before?

It's more like a deflating balloon. Fed2k was interesting even when there were only a few regulars and no-one had a post count of more than 200. But since the massive swelling, it's been distorted and lost its original flavour.

Yes, the silence is visible. Emprworm is out, Navaros as well, EdricO and Gunwounds visit only sporadically. That is hard to live here these days...

It's not that we should "just post more"  it's that we should post more, but with also a little more quality and thought in mind.  As it stands alot of people have things to say, but just think "Blah, it's already been said" or "Too lazy".

Guys this happens all the time. The board has its ups and downs and the general "feeling" changes as new members come and old ones go. You just learn to live with it. The site isn't dying anymore now as it was a few months or years ago.

Of course I am a victim too, as I've been making so many of them, most with an anti-bush statement. But it's sooo easy.

Of course I made a midterm thread, and no one has midterms? wtf? I have a Operations exam either in 1/2 hour, but I'm not done studying, or I can take it in 3 hours. Then off to the campus pub to forget everything I learned.

I must say I don't post nearly as much as I used to, for various reasons.  Even the relatively controversial topics rarely get off page one any more, and most of the stuff is rather repetivtive.  Plus, I'm back in school now, and have band practicies (I'm trying to be section leader next year) and Academic Team and so forth.  And then there's the latest addition to my signature.
