I used the Emperor sniper icon avatar for the first few months. Then, some Dune 1 screenshots appeared, and I began using Thufir. When I became Fed2k Staff (the first time), I edited the Thufir pic very slightly to add blinking and so forth, but the pic was, of course, consistent. Later on, I changed to this closeup of Thufir (there are a few others who also use Thufir).

It was only in the very beginning (with the sniper icon) that my identity was ever really confusible.

Used to use reguar Piter; now use bithcin' blue Piter!  Booyah!

Tis is pretty much the avatar I use everywhere.  On holidays, if I remember, I'll change it to one of my other custom-Piters to fit the mood.

On some of my other fora, I used to use a few Avatars I made from the game Strife.

Regarding my own avatar, I've always used the same one... well, not exactly the same one. I began with the standard picture of Edric O from Dune 2000, and then, some time ago, I added the flashing red eyes. :)

I did have several avatars. And a worm appearing in all of them.

My first and last avatar that I didn't made myself.

3) After a while, I got the ability to pick my own custom avatar. And later on I modified that avatar, to add an animation in it, what would display, after showing the picture of 2) for about a minute, some text ("I just looove pancakes", might be that people remember that one)

But I do not have that avatar anymore...

As Baldrick might say, it's a cunning plan. Everyone who complains about me changing my name is someone who actually pays attention to what I'm saying. That and sooner or later I'm going to change it back, just waiting for the right circumstances...

Besides, I did keep the text colour to make it easier for people! People should be grateful for what they get, *mutters darkly.*  ;)
