Hello all , well it's been more than a few months

Just popped in to wish you all a very Happy Christmas !

My God your all still here :) I've been playing Planetside Aftershock now for nearly 4 years, have my own outfit , the biggest on the European server :) Is it still possible to play Emp BFD ? is a server still up and running ? Nice to hear from you all again. My Emp char was Atomic245 if anyone remembers me ?

Hope to see your posts eventually again Mahdi, after all Australia does have access to the net too you know :) Have fun drinking all those new types of beer and chatting up the Sheila's.

You guys need to check out SoE's Planetside Aftershock, a little known game but fantsatic it's an MMOFPS There are 3 Empires to choose from and it has quite a steep learning curve, I have been playing it for over 2 years ! The graphics are awesome, but be warned it is totally addictive.

I just had a Anterior Cervical Disectomy in C5/6 on my neck so I will have alot of time soon, I was operated on on Tuesday last , so It will take me a few more days to be able to set it up, but then I will, if anyone can give me details of how to set up the server etc, and what I need to get it all working again ? that would be great.

Hi all, just stopped by to say hi to my old buddies.

I've not been very well for sometime, but I am recovering now and hope to be back fairly soon on a regular basis.

Download Everest Home Edition version 2.0 from Lavalys.com that is an excellent free program that gives you alot of information about your PC, including Temperatures and much more. The interface is much better than most other progs including SIS Sandra and Belarc advisor. IMHO.

Another good program is Hijack this, or SpySubtract these 2 will definately get rid of it. But as with all spyware they usually copy themselves into your System restore points. In order to get rid of them permanently you need to turn off your system restore points until to run and get rid of the spyware. Once your satisfied that the Spyware is dead then turn the Restore points back on. To do this go to System Icon in your Windows control panel, then select System Restore, select the box turn off System Restore on all drives, then exit the System folder and run your previously downloaded Anti Spyware programs. Another tip is to visit Google downloads page and download the Toolbar, that is if your using IE to browse the Internet, otherwise use Mozilla Firefox the latest version 1.0.4 this blocks alot of spyware by default.

Sounds like your Idle timer is active in Internet Explorer, Tools, account, properties, settings. Uncheck the box in there that allows you to set a disconnect timer. Also a well known Windows XP bug especially if you have alot of USB devices connected is as follows: Go to your Windows control panel, then System Icon,Hardware, Device manager, then scroll down to Network adapters, right click on your Modem and select Power management tab, uncheck the box " allow this computer to turn off this device to save power " do this also for each of your USB ports, right down at the bottom of the devices list. This is intended for Laptop users but is enabled by default in Win XP. Hope this helps.

If your intending networking using Windows ICS then McAffee isn't good at all,you can send it back McAffee do that becasue they are aware of the issue. I use Sygate Personal Firewall and AVG anti virus and I have been virus free for over 2 years.
