IxianMace
I noticed that as well. Weird. I have no idea whether it's 'helpbot' or not, or whether that's a real player or some sort of ghost. :P
DukeLeto
All I play online is QM... :-
Khan
QM is good but sometimes you can get matched up with the most annoying people, and a lot of disconnectors.
FireSnake
Yes, but who buys games for the single player campaigns?People, who respect good complex storyline with twists and conflicts, over Captain 6-Pack with Double Super-Duper-Uber Uzis who fights to free the Planet of Sexy Babes from the green mind-controlling alien-demon-monsters from Dimension Limbo X. - Matthew
Terror
yup, i buy most games for singleplayer, considering that i have a MODEM!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

FireSnake
That doesn't have to do anything with Generals. :)I merely responded that to Your statement that "NO ONE buys games for Single Player" - Matthew

I'm a 56ker. ;D ::) So long as you can find a way to deal with the discrimination, it's OK.
Khan
People who insult 56Kers are so annoying, even though I have ADSL I never insult someone with a 56K
IxianMace
If you're talking about how people in Generals are insulting 56kers, they simply kick people from their room without a single word when they see the yellow ping. No comment, nothing. Very rude.
Hawat
In my humblest of opinions: This game is pure propaganda.Anyway... It was fun to play, though the difficulty is ridiculous (i completed all three campaigns on hard, and im a lousy strategist.)And yes we banned the game because of "warmongering nature" and "tasteless depiction of war" :-

People who cisconnect really get on my nerves though. >:(
Terror
oh, it's not the strategy games that are the problem, Starcraft, Warcraft 2/3, Tiberian Sun, it all works good enough on 56K6.No i'm talking about first person shooters, a la Renegade, counterstrike and stuff. It realy sucks that i have such a high latency in Renegade, not to forget that my download/upload speed is not good enough for games with more than 20 players or something, i realy need to get ADSL soon. Khan
Oh yeah, Renegade lagged so damn much, even on my ADSL, but yes most strategy games don't lagg at all. It is a huge problem in FPSs though.
DukeLeto
And yes we banned the game because of "warmongering nature" and "tasteless depiction of war" :-Hm...silly me, I thought it was the German government throwing a hissy fit. ;)
rigel6669
I was looking in my buddy list of generals today and i saw that bryorama was online, but playing in the battlefield 1942 lobby. That was really weird :OIt seems that you can also see in the generals communicator when your buddy is playing any other gamespy game. Terror
heh yep, it's possible, gamespy hosts a lot of games, and the buddy list allows you to find any person on gamespy, no matter what game he's playin.

lowzeewee
I think its quite biased to show that the GLA uses humans to collect resources while China uses trucks and USA gets to use some techno gadgets like a chinook to do the job.
GhostHunter
Um...Maybe because the USA is the technological warmachine of the world?
Dunenewt
Whats people's opinions on Zero Hour?I think it really needs boats and subs.
DukeLeto
Mod teams have tried boats, and here's the jist of it: Bug boats cause the game to crawl. The added wter effects, the sheer size of naval units, and all of the new logic needed (esp. for subs) makes it impractical. Although a PT boat or something simple would be nice. rigel6669
There will be no boats or subs in the multiplayer mode of zero hour.Only 1 single player mission with an aircraftcarrier

NHJ BV
I just never tell anyone that I'm on 56k :) When someone asked around what connection everyone had, in a game of Worms once, I just said "cable" ;)
