Well I think I know what the No. 1 site would be...

MSN.com - seeing that Microsoft default every installation of Windows to use it as a home page. But thats for a different thread... :P

Is the database corrupt?

In the iGod thread, the avatars are screwed up. Dantes and vidi have top part of Gobs avatar.

Seems to be happening in a lot of threads now with different users.

In the FAQ, the smiley :-[ does not show up for me. Maybe it's adblocked, but I cant tell as adblock doesn't seem to show whats blocked/blockable anymore for me when I click on the adblock at bottom right of browser.

I dont got Adblock, but its not there for me either. I am also using FF, 1.0.7. Wonder if it happens with IE...

Seems to be in IE too, although my Ie is buggered, so its not a 100% thing..

Someone please tell me you are having problems with this site loading.

I have to click reload many times to get pages to load. Other sites dont seem to have any problems, so I guess it is this site...anyone ?

Level3 has been down earlier today. As you are in the UK and the Dune2k servers are the US I bet you use one or more Level3 fiber lines. ;)

Don't know if that was it although if you don't have problems anymore it could be. :)

Probably, I have had problems for probably just over a day, maybe two... but now it seems fine, I have amade about 2-3 posts, and normally (if you can call it normal after only happening for 2 odd days) it wouldnt even let me open the site up.

Whats this levels you talking about Gryp ? DNS ?

Level3 is a Tier 1 ISP. Meaning they own parts of the internet backbone. (verry small, short and simple explenation). Most data from The Netherlands to the US is routed over Level3 fiber networks from Amsterdam to LA.

They have some nice pictures / diagrams on the site.

Well, I dont know about the issues they have been having, but the site is still intermittently slow as heck for me. Maybe my ISP is messing around. I noticed its happeneing mostly on the post back of new posts...

The HIDE tag doesen't hide the smilies. Maybe someone posted that already but it never hurts to say it again.

If you highligt smileys, they appear distorted, what, to my point, is the reason why smileys aren't hidden. Anyway, no one will guess the contents of a hidden text just by the smileys alone, right?

BTW, I've never used smileys in hidden parts of my posts. Well, I rarely use smileys at all...
