3 weeks ago there was atleast 1 post per 10 minutes, wtf happened when i wasn't here?

But besides that, a lot of the older members have tripled there postcount with ease in the last months. And they have been here for a long time. Also looking at the number of hits this site get's a day I would say it is far from "quite" here.

Mayby you [ and others ofcourse ;) ] should start a real topic to reply to.

see here is what Gob and Co. do:

they chop this site up into hundreds of little pieces, and make each of those pieces into a Forum of it's own. most people can't be bothered visiting a lot of different tiny pieces, so the discussions are very small since the system is designed to isolate the Forum visitors from each other.

Also, if you want people to listen, maybe say something you like about it at the same times. That almost sounds like your attacking them ::)

I think it's just cause the dune games are gettin so old, there outa circulation now

i do think there would be more posting if the board was condensed, but i dunno if it would be the posting that Gob likes

i've been visiting other site, for new games, rank sites, etc, and they are all hopping, so you can't say it's cause of summer. Dune's just loosing it's flavor

Yea, warcraftiii.net is a very good site. It has user maps, reports, and boards. If I had more time to play war3, I'd check that site out. If you have or are considering war3, definitely go to that site. There are a lot of users as you can imagine.

If the Emperor players would bother to read the Dune novels (like I did) there would be a lot more discussion. Emperor is growing old.

The board slows down and speeds up every once in a while. Same with every other forum. Some weeks it gets lots of posts, others hardly a one. Yesterday was one of the slower days on all the forums, although it had a lot of new members sign up.

The only boards that might be merged are the Emperor strategy boards and maybe the closing of some of the old hosted site boards that aren't used. I don't seen any point in merging the other boards as it allows people from having to read through stuff they don't care about. This site does not just focus on Emperor but Dune in general. Not everyone wants to read through posts from people complaining about Emperor when they are looking for information on say the miniseries or older games.

I like the different forums. I can't be bothered with Startegy, editing and what not. I'm only interested in a few messages and due to the fact that everything is seperate, I can easely find what I'm looking for..

Hmm, hundreds of little pieces he ?! I don't know what kind of page you have in front of you but if it's the same as mine you can't count.[ 26 for you and 28 - 30 for others ar hardly hundreds. ]And you can't be botherd to visit a lot of different sections ?Isn't it the ammount that counts, not the way it is displayed ?Looking at 4 topics in 4 forums shouldn't take that much longer then looking at 4 topics in 1 forum.[ but then that would also depend on the way you surf on the Net. . .. ]Last but not least. About the amount of posts here. Would you rather have it we post things here at the speed of hackers.com 3 years ago ?Don't think you where there at that time so just a small recap. A topic was closed in half a day and had more replies then almost all of the ones here.But that has a great downside. You are almost always to late to reply to something or join a topic. It's more like chatting, and as far as I know that uses differnt software and servers then this one.Almost any post you make in general is about howmuch you hate this forum or the way it is displayed and maintained.This forum is not like other forums you might vistit and probbably never will be, nor will other forums become like this one.So if you like other forums better, for there layout and the "bigger discussions" what the ^&@( are you doing here ?
