Phyrex
Dunno if you all have this "problem" but when I deploy a Projector it always moves it's exit to south side which is very very unpractical when I have my base also on the south side. This way the projector won't get cover from it's projections and you need to move the projections all the way around the projectors to reach the enemy base... (And mostly you already don't have enough available space.)It would be alot more effective if you can choose where it's exit comes just like buildings(!).Is there a way to do so or...? Ligic_Tha_Master
Nope.
s2
but try to set it by the top of your base and they come around easier.
nemafakei
Nothing can be done except keeping the projecter out of the line of fire or projecting fast units.
ordos45
I never really have problems because I take the precaustion to channel my enemies in one way of my base and keep the projectors far away fromt he entry point.
Sly1
Make millions of projectons and nothing gets close to your base.... ;D
nemafakei
Nothing, that is, except inkvine, projections and stealthies.
ordos45
Don't forget probably air units and masses of uncloaked scouts. ;D
gunner154
I dont know how to use projectors. but the best way is to build like 6 or 7 projectors and keep them INSIDE your base, use Atreides. Project Minos and use advanced carryall (is it possible ??? ) to transport those projections...
nemafakei
Projections can't be picked up. Remember to leave lots of room for your projections to be amassed, and to dget out of the way of the projectors so that new ones can be made. s2
even if you could try picking up a projection(and you can't) your adv. carryal would go right through it and crash.
gunner154
crash ??? ??? ???
s2
like blow up.

nemafakei
No, they wouldn't; theyd just not pick anything up.
The_Cheat_Lord
If computers know the difference between fake and real units, what happens if YOU see a projection from an enemy?
Ligic_Tha_Master
Then you see a projection from the enemy.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Thank you, Ligic, for your witty. Then you destroy them at first
jacobdouds
Why do Projections Die straight away when they walk on spice?
Gunseng_Harkonnen
They doing it? Very possible. Maybe `cos spice is not good for health. It some kind a poison
IxianMace
The Ix Projector Tank is one of the best units I've had the pleasure of using. A crackup if you ask me!! ;D Just keep on making projections of units like Minotauruses, Missile Tanks, Inkvine Catapults, Deviators and Snipers. The Deviator is a really fun trick. It works just like a real one would!
IxianMace
The AI doesn't seem to have a clue which units are fake and which are real. Making tonnes of infantry and grouping them together in a quiet corner seems to work really well against the Atreides Hawk Strike. ;D However in Skirmish games, you can always tell which enemy units are fake, you always see them lighter. ::)
Virtugon
mmmBut in a MP game the projector isn't that good! :-/
IxianMace
Well yes Virtugon, since human players will keep scouts and other stuff to make sure the projections can't do anything. I think in MP you can tell if they're projections anyway. ::)
Virtugon
I don't get it?If the oponent sends a scout, then the scout sees it's a projection, and the oponent atacks! :-/So, I still think that projectors aren't that good.
