The_old_worm
I don't believe that Princess Irulan is a Bene Gesserit. She has some Bene Gesserit training, but is not in the sisterhood. The Bene Gesserit would kick anyone's ass and they do become the most feared group in the Universe leading up to the last two books, until the Honored Matres who are even tougher.Paul fell in love with Chani and she bore his sons. He married Irulan to gain a legitimate title to the throne. His choice is obvious.
Acriku
The BG are so few in numbers, they would never last a war against the Fremen.
jacobdouds
The voice can only work if the BG have heard the persons voice enough to created the right voice type. If the fremen don't talk the voice won't work.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
But then it would mean that if everybody don`t talk, Bene Gesserit couldn`t use voice
gunner154
Obviously Chani. She'll love someone deeply if she happens to. And she bore Paul's children (I never knew when). However I'm at Dune still (Book Three: The Prophet) and I'm wondering what the Appendixes at the back are for?
jacobdouds
exactly, if no one ever talked the BG couldn't use their voice. In Dune Messiah Irulan is a Bene-Gesserit. It states so. Unlike Paul who just has training in their ways.
quoudam72
I'm wondering what the Appendixes at the back are for?So you can understand the elements in the book and also so you will know what we talking about in the forums.

The_old_worm
. In Dune Messiah Irulan is a Bene-Gesserit. It states so. Unlike Paul who just has training in their ways. It's been so long since I read Messiah I wasn't sure. For others, don't think the Bene Gesserit's numbers are small just because you don't read about many in the first three books. Later in the series, it is clear that they have legions of troops, and until the Honored Matres arrive, they are the most feared group in the Old Empire, thanks in large part to Miles Teg.The Bene Gesserit can use voice on just about anyone, including the Fremen, unless someone is trained to counter it. Gunseng_Harkonnen
Chani, although she was warrior, had natural charm that Irulan hadn`t `cos she grown up in Emperor palece, surrounded by policy and conspiration.

The_old_worm
They (Honored Matres) are tough.
quoudam72
The only thing with the enslaving with sex part is it not only makes slaves out of those being enslaved but also those who use it as slavery. That is always the case of slavery of any kind. Also the Honored Mates had an enemy that they were trying to escape themselves.
nampigai
I believe that the honoured Matress are the Fish speakers and bg from the scattering, and that the golden path is that they join forces with the BG as the only way to draw back the hidden enemy. Alexander_Ordos
Hmmm still have much to read to reach the matres ::)...So they'r much stronger than BG?
jacobdouds
I'm sorry Gunner, but this question need be answered for other people. I remember trying to find out what leet was and no one would explain until Ligic sent me it.Leet is replacment of letters for symbols. Like upside down calculators. Example: U becomes ***. that is all I will right.
