gunner154 Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I read Timenn mention it in one post about Dune 2: The Maker. It's about using modify or quote and stuff like that.Sounds interesting. Tell me more about it.Thanks.
Edric O Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I think I remember it... I'm not sure when it happened, but it was probably over a year ago. I was debating with Dust Scout about something (I can't recall what it was), and I accidentally hit the "modify" button on his post instead of the "quote" button. So instead of quoting his post, I wrote on top of it. That was very embarrasing. :-[From what I can remember, though, I think I eventually managed to recover Dustie's post.
gunner154 Posted December 9, 2004 Author Posted December 9, 2004 You could do that because you were a moderator? So the higher the position... the more mistakes to be made, in theory.
Anathema Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Actually, shortly afterwards all the posts of several days before were lost, and the evidence destroyed. Another Dutch conspiracy? Who knows
Edric O Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 The Dutch and I have already divided the world between us. Soon, the takeover will begin. 8)
Marcel71 Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Why does everything get blamed on the Dutch? We can't help it that we are not such a skillful nation
Caid Ivik Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 As we have expected, good to know the motives of our enemy ;D
Dante Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Hee hee, yes, I remember that... There was me, browsing the thread, wondering where all the purple text had gone... And then indeed, the evidence was destroyed. Most convenient. ;)
Timenn Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 It wasn't restored, but shortly after that modification issue the server hard disk crashed. And a backup was used to restore the forum topics. That way, all posts in that week were lost, including that certain post. Why the hard disk crashed, is still a mystery...Is it possible to exchange Austria for Denmark?
Andrew Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I claim PEI. Hands off. :)Those types of incidents have occurred several times.
Dante Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Communism can be corrupted, I shall have the world yet...
Edric O Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Communism can be corrupted, I shall have the world yet...You don't really think we commies are going to fall for the same trick twice, do you? Another Stalin will never be possible. 8)
Edric O Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Is it possible to exchange Austria for Denmark? No. I've already appointed Sir Sard as its future governor.UK's mine. Hands off.You will fall before the might of the Dutch.
Mihail Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I claim Latvia and a villa on the coast of Portugal! :D
Dante Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 You don't really think we commies are going to fall for the same trick twice, do you? Another Stalin will never be possible. 8) No, you commies never will. But the world's idiots population are another kettle of brainless morons entirely.
Viq Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I take it anyone who doesn't look at these boards will miss out on the new land share.
Tako Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 right then any pieces for me?I'd like to have Canada or Ireland and the UKPower to the Dutch!if possible dual alligence Edric? I could govern Italy also???
Andrew Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 You can't have PEI which is part of Canada. The rest, sure.
Anathema Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Edric's true mistake is that all of the larger nuclear powers are handed to us- not even Denmark will save them >:D*insane laughter*
Anathema Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Denmark has an ion cannon? Might want to nuke them first then.
