How much do you think I got it for?  Oh yeah, and the Processor is unlocked, which means OVERCLOCKING!!!

The price is good but i think u shud got a better processor.

The fact that when the 3ghz were first released no one wanted to spend the money on them.  So what they did was lock them and sell them as 2.5Ghz.  The "mobile" is one such processor and have be known to be overclocked 1Ghz over the rate.  That is why I have gone for it.

In all actuallity I could get 2.5 Ghz out of it, however reallistically I might be getting 1.8-2ghz.  However, due to the overclocking options with it, i might be able to push 3ghz with it with the right cooler.

I think that's his reason.

I have one of those in my laptop .. thought to take a walk on the wild side and buy a AMD for a change. . .ironically there is a Radeon 9XXX in there to. . Crosair memory to go with it.

The combination works quite well for me.  .so hope you are gon'na enjoy it just as much in a desktop system. :)

N-Force motherboard?  Badbadbad.  1. Generally sucky for playing games.  2.  Built in soundcard.  Also sucky.  3. Awful compatability with modern games.  (EG, the nForce MB is responsible for about 60% of issues with UT2k4.  Sucky statistic.)

And a "Moble" processor?  Don't know much about overclocking, but I do know that mobile processors are not meant for desktops.  Bad for compatability.

And you don't seem to have a floppy drive, or any USB ports.  What, pray tell, are you going to plug your mouse and keyboard into without USB ports?

OK, I'm being a bit harsh.  Lots of HD, good.  Sweet graphics card.  Assuming you can overclock that processor as much as you say, good stuff.  Make sure you get more cooling, though. And it was only about $900 USD.  Not bad, young padawan, not bad.

pfff. floppys?  Why have a floppy when CDRW are all the way.  As for USB connectors, they come standard on cases nowadays.

CDRW are preferable of course, but floppys are still common enough to make having a drive for them worthwhile, I think.  On the other hand, anything small enough to fit on a floppy is small enough to be sent via email.

I dont know why I would need a floppy drive.  I never use them.  However, if the need arose to buy one I would, they are only a few pound.  Anyway, the mobile is a good chip, I was reccommended it by the geek of my brother.

So that's... what? $1,200 or $1,300? That is a pretty decent price. Good computer hunting, EWS.

the dollar isn't that bad, 550 pounds is about $950US

Great comp :). Gotta ask you how much your HD and RAM cost though, planning to upgrade my comp.

But why don't you get a DVD-RW instead? It only a bit more expensive then an CD-RW.
