Civilization: Galrondites population 1,700,000 (military) 6,000,000 Civillian colony: Small Planet of Galrond Civilization is ruled by the premier Karoq Narond We are currently unallied with anyone, but we want to be a decent military/economic force in the future. We have a decent military force, but we mostly try to focus on stealth and sneaky tactics. Our current military force is comprised of: 1 space station, 2 carriers, 3 battleships, 20 destroyers, 40 corvettes, 20 stealth corvettes, 100 fighters, 75 stealth fighters, 100 Stealh bombers, and 60 transport ships. We also have an intersteller marine corps or about 20,000 people, but no real army. We are currently very low on funds, and we do not have enough money to get fuel for very many of our ships right now, so we are not a huge offencive threat, yet. When I say stealth, I mean the same general kind of stealth that is currently on US B-1 and F-117 bombers: The stealth is not completely undetectable, but it is much harder to detect. If the stealth stuff does not fit well with the game, tell me and ill change it.

I know I have not been here in a while, but I was just browsing through and I saw this thread, looks kinda interesting. Anyone care if I play? I will be Japan, if its OK.

Yeah, cause Ginaz and Atreides are supposed to be historic allies, but I cant ally with them if there is no one to fight against.

Kensai Shrin looked over his reports. It has been years sense the house of Ginaz and their swordmasters had gone to war, but the known universe was getting very touchy, and it looked as if the Swordmasters may have to fight again. (OCC, before I continue, why are we fighting, and who is all opposed to the atreides)

which is exactly why we will never have communism. it is a great idea in theory, but people do not work that way. people do not conform to a perfect model that you can fit to your government theory. people want to improve themselves, to improve their standard of living. and deep down, people want to do things for themselves, not just have the government give them everything. communism works just fine for things like ants, and bees. it works just fine for things that have no compulsion to improve. people, would rather work for themselves, than for the benifit of society. this is not just a cultural thkought, this is a basic human thought, part of our emotions. you cannot change that thought without changing and destroying basic human nature, making us less than we could be.

What is the question? it the question when will the body count be broken, or when will it be broken by terrorism? -
Why the collapse of the economy would be GOOD

So what kind of a society would you WANT to live in after the collapse. Total anarchy? Nomadic tribes wandering the landscape. what would you want? -

yes, it would be interesting, but also full of death and destruction, which may or may not be worth it. it all depends on what comes out of it in the end -
i think that the prequels did have faster than light drives, but they were still just normal engines, that went really fast. the holtzman engine does not actually propel the craft, it folds space to move the vessel. much more similer to teleportation than driving.

the terrorists goals were not to disrupt our economy or military by taking out vital economic centers. it was shock effect. it doesnt matter if the pentagon was completely destroyed, that would not have all that much of an effect on our military in the long run. yes, communications would be down for a little while, but that is pretty much it. and if they wanted to hit economic centers, there are places that would have a lot bigger impact than the WTC. the NYSE for example. the terrorists plot was just shock value, nothing more.

All in all, something i would rather not activly ponder from a purly academic standpoint.... -
I was in my first hour chemestry class. The principal came over the intercome and said we would have a moment of silence for all those killed in the terror attacks on the WTC and the pentagon. I had an early morning class at school, so I had not heard about it yet, and when he said the WTC, i thought it was something like what happened in the 80's, some guy with a dynamite vest on walked into the building. My friends and I were kinda pissed for the rest of 1st hour, because none of us knew what was going on. the bell rang and I got up to go to my 2nd hour trig class. my trig teacher had CNN on, and I walked through the door just barly in time to see the 2nd plane hit. most of the rest of the day we just watched CNN. There was one kid in my 3rd hour who likes to pretend he is some kind of revolutionary or something, and he was laughing and applauding the terrorists when I walked into that class. Stupid bastard. One of my good friends had to catch my arm, otherwise I would have beat the hell out of the kid.

sounds like "fight club" writ large. But it is a good idea, in theory. Problem is how it would recover -
I presume that means this war is not getting of the ground?
-
Do not presume that you can threaten me. And do not presume that the humans will fall so easily. I used to be one of them, and I have seen the power of their armies. They have more power than you credit them with. Beware not taking them seriously.
