  1. Yes, I do believe that there is a Satan in his own right. I believe that the way that he shows himself to us now is not the same as it once was, and that he probably shows himself less in the form of an actual being, and more in the sense of a non-real temptation. "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was making the world believe he didn't exist" -The Usual Suspects
  2. you could lead a special detachment of demons, as I am vampires...
  3. Well, Zen is not only japanese.. But ya, you are right, the Zen buddists really are not comparable with any other beliefs
  4. There will always be evil in the world, if only for the sake that Satan exists. There will always be temptation, we can cut the evil acts down, but I honostly don't think we can eliminate it.
  5. lol, thats cool! What does she think about being named after a princess?
  6. I am not TMA, so I cannot vouch exactly for what he is saying but I get this out of it: We are not saying that we should not fight against what God says is wrong. What we are opposing is the method in which we fight against said evils. I agree with you that we should oppose everything that God opposes, and fight to rid the world of evils, but there are better ways to fight than seeing who can yell his or her opinion the loudest.
  7. Nav, I suggest you go back and read his original post again. Everything he said actually makes sense. He even said at the third paragraph that God laid down his rules, but he did nothing other than that to enforce His will until the problem was getting out of hand. He gave us free will, and we use it as we may. This is a fact. It is also a fact that if we get to out of control and go against Gods will with it, that God will do something about it. And Nav, look around you. Homosexuality exists. Therefore, God did "allow" it to happen. But you missed the entire point of his post, while at the same time doing a perfect job of personifying it. Read the bible again Nav, especially the New Testement. The message of Christianity is supposed to be to forgive each other. To love your neighbor as yourself. To spread the word of the God of love and mercy. If we live a life of forgivness, and we live out Gods word as He intended, then we will reach a lot more people with Christs message than we will ever reach by grabbing them by the collar and screaming in their face: "Convert or Die!" And I am sorry if this post does not make perfect grammatical sense, as I just woke up, but I think that it makes enough sense for you to understand what I mean.
  8. Jakie walked calmly down the street. Not many people could walk down the street unafraid at thie time of night, but he was different. He always planned ahead. His mission tonight was simple. A rebel group of ex-cops had gotten ahold of some SWAT gear, including tear gas, laser scopes, nightvision/thermal goggles, and automatic rifles. And all he had to give these guys was $15,000. It was a lot of money, but the Legion needed these weapons. As he got to the end of the alley, he was a large sedan idleing by the side of the road. As he walked up to it, 2 men got out, one of them jangling his keys self conciously. "Shit" thought Jackie, "its going to happen." But, he reminded himself with a grin, he was prepared. "You got the money?" A voice called out, sounding very nervous. "of course i do." Responded Jackie calmly. Several crates were unloaded from the back of the sedan, and after making sure everything was there, Jackie handed over the money. As the money changed hands, a voice boomed out of the darkness: "FREEZE!, this is the Police, stay where you are and put your hands up!" Jackie sighed exhasperatedly as several members of the local SWAT team swarmed the alley. As the police cheif came over to put the cuffs on Jackie, a strange sound swept through the alley. It was a strange sound, but to Jackie, it was a comforting one, the sound of silenced rifles firing. As most of the SWAT team dropped dead from holes between their eyes, Jackie swung around, embedding a small bootknife into the police chiefs wrist, twisting away from his grasp. As the smoke cleared, 2 men climbed down from the roof, and helped Jackie put the crates back into the sedan. Then they walked around, and took the body armor and gear off of all the dead swat officers, and stuffed the gear into the back of the car as well. Right before they got into the car, Jackie walked back to the police man he had stabbed, and pulled his knife out of the arm. As the man faded to unconciousness, Jackie pulled up his cell phone, and called 911, he wanted this policeman to survive. Right before they pulled away, Jackie leaned down and told him "When you are questioned, tell them how bad Tony Salieri beat you!" Then, he got back into the car, and drove off down the street, while groups of men on the roofs slowly packed up their gear and followed, keeping to the shadows.. (In case you didnt catch that, I framed Salieris(Sards) group and made the law think that he had killed several policemen.)
  9. see what I mean, nothing to describ it.
  10. its closer than broken heart, but still inefficiant, ya. Have you ever felt heartbreak? I dont know how to describe it, but I am trying to figure out better words to describe it. I have been thinking, and I cant think of anything.
  11. Ok, I have never played Midevil, but I played Shogun quite a bit, and pretty much, you just have to continue putting down the revolts, and keep garrisons there.
  12. what I mean is: Can you think of any phrase in the English language that does a worse job of getting across its meaning than the term "Heart Broken" I mean, the phrase sounds so neat and clean, when it is ment to convey the most horrid feeling that a person could ever comprehend. we need a new phrase, something like "Soul Shattered" or "Spirit destroyed" Something like that. That is a little bit more accurate. Those are just my suggestions though, any others would be appriciated.
  13. This, I suppose, is where we differin opinions. I believe that God very well COULD control man, but that he doesn't. Not because he is unable, but because long ago he gave us free will, and he does not want to break that gift to us.
  14. The whole Dune series, or just Dune. It could be several. My vote would go to "Don't Screw with things that you dont understand."
  15. Thus by that logic, God is a Nihilist himself. I believe(corerct me if I am wrong) but I beleive that what he was talking about was people who just back out of other peoples buisiness because they do not care or feel that they dont have the right to interfere. God was not uncarring, he just allowed them to make their own mistakes, after having been warned by Him
  16. I agree completly. The message of Christianity is supposed to be one of love and understanding. It is one thing to witness to people, and tell them of the bible and Christs love, but it is quite another to grab them by the throat and scream "Your going to Hell!" Which unfortunatly, is all that most Christians today do in this country.
  17. I was thinking, and I decided that of all the words and phrases in the English language, the phrase "Heart-Break" and all its variations(heart ache, heart broken, etc) are the words that do the WORST job of conveying their intended meaning. Many phrases do a decent job of getting accross what they are describing, but the words "heart-broken" do not. Can anyone here think of a phrase or word(s) that would better fit the feeling that "heart broken" is trying to convey?
  18. My name is Kartah. Once, I was one of the Human Kingdom of Izuck's most powerful warriors. I was a Paladin in Izucks most talented pool of fighters. My fellow warriors and I had traveled the world in search of the most deadly fighting arts in the world. We had been studying with the Shoalin monks for the past 3 years, when on our way back to Izuck, we came across the first of the Invading hellspawn. We retreated cross country, finally coming to a church in Rome to make our last stand, but as the demons came down upon us, the local clergy cursed us, condemning us to hell for bring the demons into his city. The demons came down upon us, and as we died, we could feel the old priests curse start up. We woke up in the middle of the burning ashes of Rome. We woke with an unquensiable thirst in our mouth, as well as an undeniable hatred for all of humanity in our hearts. We had become the most feared of humanities enemies. We were vampires, the living dead. We were endowed with superhuman speed and strength, as well as our being almost impossible to kill in a battlefield situation. As long as no one could get threw our armor with a stake, or force us into sunlight, we were almost unbeatable. My small force calles themselves Izucks Bane. We consist of 78 vampires. We all have armor and longswords, and half of us carry bow/arrows.
  19. Legholm glared at Garos. He could sence something wrong with him. His train of thought was inturupted, however, as more demon statues came running accros the field at him. He held his ground, drawing his blades. The katanas make large silver streaks through the air, decapitating monsters left and right. The blades moved faster than the eye could see them, going through the stone/flesh faster and faster as each creature fell. As the onslaught of creatures stopped, Legholm sheathed his blades, and ran up the wall after Garos. As Legholm disapeared over the top of the battlements, the only thought left in the minds of the people below him were: "how did he just run straight up a 15 foot wall....."
  20. ok, cool, that will work. Umm, ok someone else continue the story, I was the last one to post...
  21. House of Ginaz.
  22. I remember seeing that too, it was freaky. How many hundreds of people could survive off the water for ONE golf course? And then everyone has an outdoor pool, and if you go to Las Vegas, almsot every other casino has a huge pond or pool outside its front door. It is insane!
  23. (OCC, ya, but I am a poor college student and I have no way to watch that right now, and there are a lot of different myths. I am assuming that this vamp is not one of the nosferatu(sp), but is a more human like speicies. So some more specific questions: Is it affected by sunlight? How? Can it transform into animals? (most vamps could do bats, ravens, and wolves) It has a human appearance, but superhuman strength/speed? It is killable in ways other than just a stake through the heart, although that is the best way to make sure he is dead. He IS affected by things like holy water and crusifix's, we know that. Umm, I think after that we will be able to go on a lot easier....sorry)
  24. I sent you an IM
