Yup, still playing the game. Wish there was some sort of infantry-to-building barricade function for the game.... and an APC for the harks...(maybe make the flame tank a TERRIBLE version of an APC) a better form of the ordos AA mine... a better purpose for the atreides light infantry... a more important function for the guild maker... a faster contaminator... fixing the glitch that screws the ADPs reaction to a hawkstrike... changing the experience points from being given to an enemy unit when a devestator is told to selfdestruct... allowing infantry in the APC to scatter out once the APC is destroyed... and for people to stop complaining about the emperor worm mission

I have a thing against the damn Hawk Strike against the ADP... Even after the effects wear off, the damn thing still leaves the map.

Just had some ADP's and MachineGunTurrets watch the base incase of a guild NIAB invasion. I just survived long enough to set up a small devestator, ADP, and inkvine defense at the funnel in front of the base. Had an engineer watch behind them incase of leech larva. After that, I wiped out the minor base to the WEST with a good number of mixed assault tanks and buzzsaws. Once that was done, slowly advanced the devestators, ADP's, and inkvines to crush the tlexaxu base. (While destroying whatever living turrets i could reach.) Up to a certain point of advancement (after passing and destroying the minor base to the EAST) the damn thing gives you a time limit to kill the worm. From there, i bombed the major base here and there with death hand, gunships, and micromanaged devestator airdrops. Also airdropped a few devestators in the eastern windtrap area. I cleared the map in about 1-2 hours? (been a long time since i did this.) OR At the start of the battle, deploy your MCV, leave your devestators to watch it, run your remaining forces to head straight for the worm, deploying your Ix Duplicator to the RIGHT SIDE of the worm, have it duplicate flametanks or assault tanks to attack the worm, and WATCHING YOUR REMAINING FORCES BY RADAR, tell a small group of them to stop in order to provide fodder for your flames and assault tanks to reach the worm. This works ALMOST all the time.

I have the Italian version of Dune 2000 and I can't understand a damn thing. The text is replaced and the movie sequences are dubbed. Anyone know of something that can change this?

Question. Is there a patch out there to fix the bug involving the Harkonnen ADP? Whenever the hawkstrike hits it, it starts to leave the map. Once the hawkstrike effect wears off, it continues to leave.

Id have to say...the devestator. Who could resist detonating in the center of an enemy base when you have money like Fort Knox?

I prefer almost any Harkonnen music. Ordos is too techno for me. Atreides has old school music thats been remixed from the original dune 2 (Think thats pretty tight)

Keep in mind that destroying the worm's refineries takes out a large portion of its life

Fixes: Fix the hawkstrike/chaos lightning bug on Harkonnen ADP. Make the AAMines less expensive and more effective. Add: Add Garrisons in the maps or give the ability to construct Garrisons. Make the Corriolus Storms appear randomly on the map rather than just the south of the battlefield. Include Team Battle among computers in skirmish or multiplayer games. Daytime/Nighttime effect

the dune story line should stay as a story and never as a game. IE DUNE The dune games should be separate from the tale. IE EMPEROR

The Dune 2 Ordos Saboteur was only invisible in certain versions of the game. Otherwise its image is a grey, fast moving light infantry

in my opinion, an update should be made in where the neutral structures serve as garrisons for all infantry except subhouse

Best homeworld to invade as House Harkonnen?

to deal with the super weapons as hark, box in a bunch of sards on caladan with walls to distract the computer. Construct a gunship fleet for draconis to distract the chaos lightning. -
If i were to do it with atreides, i would send everyone down immediatly towards the worm. Deploy the projector to the worm's right and dupe mongeese and enemy hark flame tanks or ordos laser tanks. Let the dupes kill the worm and have your real guys be more of a distraction until the worm dies
