Dune 7 has not been written yet ... the books he is talking about are Prequels to Dune written by Brian Herbert and Anderson.

Sounds similiar to problems that Win ME has when it's 'INF' directory gets too full ... don't know enough about 2000 or XP ... just tossing out the idea that these 2 OSes may have similiar problems.

I've only had the game for a week and it was a waste of $7 ... calls for Directx 8.0 for some unknown reasons in order for it yo run correctly. Don't know why it has a higher graphical settings than EBFD and it's not that good to start off with.

I just picked up a copy of FH Dune ... Dreamcatcher is who's name is on it.

No... Gob, My DSL provider is Verizon with a westell-wirespeed box. Noone else i know around here has emp so i wouldnt know if they had the same probs, and ive never heard of anyone with the same prob except for appolyns friend. and what do u mean by special software? I think it only came with 1 verizon driver disk and thats it. There might have been one more and if there was im pretty sure it woudl be the driver for my DSL box. I don't believe it's the Westell or it's software thats causing the problem from what I just read ... due to the fact that it's probably the same model of modem that I'm using and it only comes with 1 single CD.

Have you tried loading a new program or update written by Microsoft on your Win ME machine and it won't load no matter what you do. Check in your C:/Windows/INF (folder) directory (The INF directory is hidden) After you got thar folder open, sort by file size. See all those 0 byte files ... well get rid of them. After they are gone, you can finally get your new Microsoft programs or updates to finally load. I got through the level twice (Atr and Ordos) and only had a slight lag but that was due to the number of units being moved at the same time.

I haven't heard anyone that hasn't had performance problems with the Emperor Worm level.

It wouldn't be the first time and not the last but we have had some long battles online between clan mates ... the longest that I can remember was a little of 3hrs.

Np ... Just to mention to the people who d/l the rar versions ... make sure you remove the program from your hard drive before starting up emperor ... it will crash faster than you say crashed.

There is a small program that will run in the background called Howie's Quick Screen Capture. Which will allow you to take as many shots as you have harddrive space for.

I consider myself on the scale of 'noob' to 'elite' as a middle player, where as sometimes I'll give an 'elite' a good hard fought game but most times will be taken to the cleaners by an 'elite' 1v1. One of the few times that I've won against an 'elite' was a game with crates on. My scout got inside his base ... saw a crate ... got to the crate and low and behold - it was an engineer. Said engineer and took his construstion yard. All I had to do was start placing turrets ... game over. So crates should be reconsidered.

Even if people have them installed ... it's probably due to that people don't like them. I can't think of 1 of them that I do like well enough to play daily due to each of them gives unfair advantage to 1 house or another.

Yes, it did. When it first happened, I was teed cause I just entered a game that would have been a very nice battle between Guns/Pro/Senda/me.

By all means ... it would be great to play those maps with others and people think Fishers is big.

Have you ever had trouble with Emperor dropping out to the desktop or even the battle scene view suddenly changing on you? If so, borrow a different mouse for your computer and try it. You will be amazed that the little rat causes game troubles like that.

My understanding from the Gaming News that I read ... Westwood recalled all unsold copies of EBFD ... repackaged them to sell as EBFD: Classic. So yes, they are just selling copies that was just sitting on shelves waiting to be sold.

$2000 ... as much as I hate Wally World - Amd 2.2 is 999 ... P4 2.4 @ 999 ... Intel Cel 2.0 @ 699 I can understand your frustration about the min. specs for the game ... it supposely outgrades my system P3 933.

I know that I'm not in the same class as ACE, Elite, and Dawg ... But I'm willing to go head-to-head with you anytime you want. I find that going head-to-head with "Elites" makes my game better and likewise just being able to watch games in-progress.
