NAIB tanks?

Most people think they are called NIAB tanks for Navigator In A Box. They are really NAIB tanks. Naib is a fremen word meaning "to never let one's self be captured alive" All fremen leaders take the oath of the naib. So this makes sense for the tank right? It can't be easily captured as it teleports around.

I heard that NIAB meant Navigator In A Bottle. I can't see what the Guild has to do with fremen anyway.

I got it from the Dune book. I read the word glossary and found Naib. Coincidence? I think not... ???

Naib is in the Dune book sure, but WW isn't the book. They actually pervert the books in so many weird ways, but good ways, too. But WW is different and has their own weird ideas, don't think they are the same though. I think so though about the coincidence  ;D

I haven't read the Dune books but I originally thought that a Naib was the boss of a sietch. I'll start reading the first novell at the end of the school year.

Ordos-Suspero right. I don`t think WW thought about fremen names when they did it, its just coincidence. Maybe they saw too this coincidence. But it can be a lot of words similar to each other in spelling but not in meaning.

Naib and NIAB are different. Naib (lit: 'chosen for wisdom') is the fremen, but the guild have no reason for employing naibs, let alone calling a tank in which there is a navigator one.
