I've made a page on the Wiki for the Forum FAQ. It is protected so if you want changes to it talk to one of the members that can change it. That would be myself, Timenn, Nema Fakei, EdricO, and Dunenewt.

I'd agree with a new poll or new news post or something on the main page. Definitely need to put the news out there. Or else another website will and fed2k will be left behind. Fed2k promoted the miniseries pretty good.

I think the custom made avatar is only for forum staff.

edit: perhaps I can also save it as an .png file, because the .jpg gives certain parts a blue glow. However .png will probably be bigger in filesize. The image is created in the Gimp, if you wonder.

Very nice banners, but could there be something else instead of that missile launcher on the left side? A harvester or something...

If you have a different image in your mind, tell me, I will try to put it in, but keep in mind that it's hard to get most of the image visible in a banner shape.

Those are really good.  How about some with the Emperor: Battle for Dune House Emblems?  I know I'd use the Atreides crest as my sig, since my old one no longer fits. :)

If we could get one that size, saying Fed2k - World's largest Dune fansite, with different House logos on, that would be good.  What programmes do you use to make these Thumper?

I create the images in The Gimp (free), I used to work with Photoshop. I personally think I could create better looking images in Photoshop because of the advanced layer effects options, but the trial version has ended a long time ago and I'm getting better at The Gimp. Any way, here is a test userbar, what do you think?

I like those banners, especially the one with the missile tank (I used those zealously when I still played D2k) I think I'll start using that one on other forums that I visit.

I think you might want to make a few with material not from D2K or the other games, though. This site is about more than just the games.
