Je bent 14 en zou nu al Nederlands willen leren ?

Waarom eigenlijk . ..

Ach ja, maakt niet uit .. . ..

'k weet niet of je waar je woont Nederlandse TV-zenders kunt ontvangen. . maar dat zou een manier zijn om te beginnen.

Ok, now the translation for the other half of the members here ;)

"You are 14 and would like to learn Dutch ?

Why actually . ..

Ah, it doesnt matter .. . ..

I don't know if where you life you can recieve Ducth TV-channels. . but that would be a way to begin with."

Well, a rough translation anyway.

Grammar is a little different in my opinion, so it is a bit ocward in English.

Is dutch very irregular? What principal parts do verbs have, and how many conjugations are there? Do you have 4 cases, like German, and how many declensions are there?

To be hounest, I'm the last persone you would like to hear that from. I'm dyslectic.

But as a longshot. Nope, compared to German of Frensh I would say Dutch is relativly easy. [ for a Dutch guy. I usually get the feedback from foreigners that Dutch is horrible to learn, let alone speak ]

We have regular and inregular verbs. The regular are easy, just apply the rules. The inregular you'll have to know. Dutch is much easier then German in that case. Don't know if I understand what you'r refering to correct but we just have one instead of 4.

But the above is probably all garbadge. I'll try to look up a site sometime this evening .. probably when I get back . . .

The link will be here tomorrow, unless one of those untrustworthy Dutch guy's beats me in it ;)

Woooooohh... easy boy with all those questions 52.gif

We don't have 4 cases, we have 3. Just 3 and they aren't again devided like in German.

What we can do is, you post some lins in English and we'll translate them in Dutch. That should get you started. Questions we can asnwer along the way.

I can't speak dutch, but since I know a bit of german and a lot of english, I am able to understand most of the sentences. I can't write it, though.

Then i can't speak Dutch either ::) ;D

Well if it is a good girlfriend ( you know what i mean ) you will learn quickly ;D

You have the theory in books and casettes but nothing is better than learning it first hand.

Ok, it helps when you try to read and speak much Dutch. You learn a language the best if you keep practicing it.

And Dutch isn't easy, it is very irregular some times, and some rules are very confusing, most Dutch don't know them all.

But on the other hand, when you don't know something, just try something. Most Dutch do that too. This will give the nice irregular language of Dutch. Nema would panic :)

Ask if you want to know some things. You can try to follow a Dutch course
