Don't you all want to be taken to your new posts *automatically*?

That is how it used to be on this board. I like that way a lot better. I like to see my post on the board to make sure it's done right. I like to automatically be shown my post on the board immediately after I press the post button.

With the current way you have to click on the thread you just posted in manually, and then click and scroll all the way to the end of it manually. That is a needless and frustrating waste of time and energy that can easily be averted.

If the majority of you agree with me Gob might change it back to how it used to be, and you will be able to see your posts right away with out having to do all that hard work.

If you agree with me that the old way is better please post your agreement in this thread.

Yeah I agree that it should be like that, but I've got used to going back and checking manually, even though it does waste time and is slightly irritating.

see the little button beside the one that says post. preview, thats the one. keep hitting preview till yopu have worked your rouge draft into the final work then hit post.

i don't want to use that function and frankly it's kinda dorky so i don't think most ppl would ever bother to use it. i wanna see my artwork in it's natural form, not an illusion of what it may be...

looks like so far a lot more people want it back to the old way. to that I say, COOL! lets keep this bandwagon rolling

It's not an illusion of how it may be, it IS going to be that way. I think if you're to lazy to use the preview button, you shouldn't complain.

I will eventually make it so you can specify whether you want to go back to the thread or to the message index, this is just in the meantime. Personally I prefer the current way as I already know what I posted and don't need to read it again.

If I do implement it I suspect it will be a checkbox after the message textarea, around the same area as the lock after post and disable smilies checkboxes.

Gob please make it a permanent thing so we don't have to do it manually each time a post is made. Make it a preference or something so we only need to set it once.

You do only need to set it once, just as you don't need to set "Disable smilies" every time.
