When he drink the water of life he won a name, that the Bene Gesserit call, I think it is Kwisatz Haderach, that means the person that can be in two places in the same time (See the future..), this name I wish to remember.....

But it was only Bene Gesserit name, that they keep in secret for many years and only Bene Gesserit and Paul of course knew this name. Fremen have their own call.

But it don`t change fact that he WAS Kwisatz Haderach, even if Bene Gesserit didn`t predict it will be so early.

so early

The Kwisatz Haderach was just one generation early. Jessica would have to produce a daughter (which she didn't) and that daughter should have to give birth to the Kwisatz Haderach. The father should be one of the two brothers Rabban (Feyd-Rautha or Beast).

With Feyd, Revended Mother said in House Atreides that Abulurd should have more children (so Glossou wasn`t the best choice). But still, while the Kwisatz Haderach plan took so many time and everything what they were doing was so precised, one generation mistake in their plan was suprise. They weren`t ready.

Babylon, you're absolutely right! In the Lynch-film, after Mohiam tests Paul with the Box, she has a thought: "But will he be ours to control?" This explains everything.

And the othre problem: don't mix the Fremen religion with the calculations of the BG. The Kwisatz Haderach means: 'the one, who could be at many places at the same time" . The Lisan-al Gaib is the Voice from the outer world". It's a Fremen name of Paul. The Mahdi means some kind of Messiah, sorry, but I don't know exactly...

But the Bene Gesserit's Missona Protectiva planted those ideas there. They were the ones who introduced that to them I think.

Frodo`s right. Bene Gesserit put their Missionaria Protectiva everywhere where their thought it could bring benefits in time. At Arrakis it was very long ago, cos when they heard about Fremen religion, said "So our Missionaria Protectiva was there too" or something similar.

But it was connected with many of reasons, Zensunnits had long journey, they were in many placs, their religion could have been more complicated. Bene Gesserit could have there influence too. About mother who will bring child who will be Mahdi.

Ok, here we go (can you tell I'm bored?)

Paul Atreides:  Birth name

Paul-Muad'Dib: Public Fremen name.  Maud'Dib is the Fremen wrod for the Kangaroo moouse.  In the beggining of Dune there is a constellation of Stars that looks like a Kangaroo Mouse, which the Fremen also call Maud'Dib.  Because the tail of this constellation points north, Maud'Dib also means "The one who points the way."

Usul: His sietch name.  Only members of his Sietch know it.  it means "The base of the pillar".

The Preacher: A nickname given to him when nobody knew for sure that he was Paul during Children of Dune.

Kwisatz Haderach:  The name the Bene Gesserit gave to the ultimate goal of there breeding program.  "The one who can be many places at once."

Mahdi:  "The one who will lead us to paradise".  "The Bringer of Water".   The Fremen term for there coming Messiah.

Lisan Al Gaib: "The voice from the Outer World".  the other title the Fremen give to there coming Messiah, although it is speculated that at one time the Mahdi and the Lisan Al Gaib were seperate prophecies (the Lisan Al Gaib being a great prophet and the Mahdi being a Messiah).

Mentat-Emperor:  Paul was both a Mentat and an Emperor.

Duke:  He was the Atreides Duke.
