in the first campan misson your yard is pointing V

but when you plant any other time its like this <--

Why would you *want* to? I can understand turning Facs or Barracks and that kind of thing, but the direction your conyard is facing it totally irrelevant.

BUT, if you for some reason wanted to, perhaps due to expansion or something like that, then I think you can select it, then left click somewhere else on the map...causing the con yard to pack up and move there. I also think the U button serves as "undeploy" but I'm not sure.

actually...turning ur producing building can a good thing. u point each producing buildings towards the entrance, saving time from having those units walk through the buildings in it's way.

Yea Desert, turning the factory is helpful. I think he was referring to the constructin yard though. I'm pretty sure the first trick I mentined works and I guess it's the D button instead of U (thanks DJ).

assuming you want to turn a factory or barracks instead of your CV, all you have to do is click on the map like your going to choose a place, but instead of releasing the mouse button, move your mouse left or right while holding the button, then you can watch the "shadow" of the building turn until you like which way it is pointing. When you like the direction it is pointing release the button

i think i know why..u must have rotated the map. you can do that by holding down alt and pressing any of the arrow keys. it works great it your planning something strategic, or u wanna find sumthing behind a wall.

you can also turn the map by clicking on map with both mouse buttonsa nd it will spin
