Ligic_Tha_Master
Chem troopers and Sardaukar are also good anti-Tleilaxu units.
Timenn
Sardaukar ok, but chemtroopers has too short range for contaminators...
Chaos_Storm
So long as your Chem troopers don't get overwhelmed, they perform well against contaminators as they outrange them by a short distance and kill them very quickly. When the computer is controlling the contaminators, you don't have to worry as they seldom attack.
House_Corrino
It takes forever for contaminaters to kill 1 chem trooper.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
It`s no point send infantry against contaminaters. Vehicles make them invisible without any losses
Terror
yeah.... contaminators are too expensive..... unless you got to fight a kindjal/trooper/AA trooper army it's so fun to see how your contaminators multiply like bacteria
Timenn
But there are much better weapons against such a rush...
Gunseng_Harkonnen
And its fun too to see how your contaminators are killed by enemy mangoose, flame or laser.Every time I had contaminators, enemy (in skirmish) didn`t send infantry agaist them and when it send always with vehicles support
Asdrubaal
Contaminators have a tendency to be followed by leeches... which sux
Gunseng_Harkonnen
And we back to typical disscusion that Tleilaxu suckOkay, is somebody here who likes them?
Terror
well... they do fit in the story ofcourse... and well.... they have some use... they are just hard to handle, need a lot of micro.. that's why computer can handle himself with tleilaxu
Sardauker-Kirov
Yes, When you controll the Leech and choose a target he starts colliding with the unit for some strange reason.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
That`s the reason why people don`t like control Leeches. And no controled Leeches are no effectiveAnd another thing...they suck...
Sardauker-Kirov
The best thing is just set the leeches on Spice field's and let the Guard thing do the rest.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Maybe... but other unit can help harvester when it will back to base...
Wizpig
I'd have to say the best is Guild and Fremen. The only question I have is, do you guys know how the Guild Makers work into the plot?
Black_Emperor
hell, ive have to say that the sardies/ix or the fremen/guild are probably the best subs
Terror
i'd go for the zerg/terran combo.. but then again.. that's impossible.... Â :-/
Timenn
When I play on Arrakis I always play with Fremen + xxxxxx (no Tleilaxu) On other worlds it may be all different...
Chaos_Storm
It depends on how I feel like playing. If I want to be insidious, I'd go for the Fremen/Ix combo and punish enemies for not using scouts (then bring my own scouts if I know he/she is wise enough to use them). If I want concentrated strength , I'd go for Sardaukar/Guild to be my front line units whilst my own Ordos units support. Tleilaxu/Ix (Guild or Fremen will also do) if I wanted to be vexing (I don't often do this though) and have cannon fodder units.Normally I prefer Fremen/Sardaukar to have a balance though I'm starting to play Fremen/Ix more. Sandworm riders are awesome against human opponents as they tend to amass units on sand and forget about them.
jacobdouds
I usually take the Fremen and Sarduakar, both of these are very good combaters.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
True, this infantry attack almost always works, but Ix is very helpful with projectors
jacobdouds
Yes, the projectors are the best way to build up your defences early in the game.
Black_Emperor
A single buzzsaw can takeout an entire army of talaxu army. So why take them as subhouse allies?
Ligic_Tha_Master
Chems also.
