Good Strats against Harks

Defense: on entrances to your base you must position Minotaurs, on their sides and backs groups of max.4 kindjals. Kindjals are very good against tanks. Large group of kindjals is very vulnerable to Inkvine catapults. In front you should have a Sonic tank. But don't use many there. If you play with Fremen, some Fedaykins in field are also very good. Against aircraft build about four Airdrones.

Attack: best assault can be composed by Airdrones, Minotaurs (use them in line) and grouped Kindjals. Mongoose is slow, better for defense (but I think it's practically unusable). Snipers or light soldiers should be good against enemy Fremen, if they're used. If you play also with Sardaukars, it would be good if you use some (at least 20-30).

and what happens if they choose to attack you with assult tanks, flame thrower infantry, rocket launchers, and gunships?

the gunships will take out the minis and at the same time, the rest of the units with take out mongeese and other buildings in the process and also, the flame thrower kills infantry

A line of7 to 10 minos mixed in with 10-15 mongeese and some kindjal will completely iliminate the tanks and a couple of snipers can blow up those annoying flamethrower infantry, causing extra damage to the tanks around them

If your enemy uses devestators, get a huge army of projected devestators on the cliffs.  They will be destroyed almst immediatly, but you can get maybe one shot off for each because of the minos distraction.  Plus missile tanks usually only shoot on thing at a time so if you tell your projections todestroy them you will hev a heck of a lot less trouble.

ps. some projected snipers and minos can help too

I've got a good stratagy of defence, but not Assault unfortunately.(Only works if there's no super weapons)

You'll need to build 3 or 4 Minotauruses, approx. 8-10 Kinjals, 4-6 Snipers, 2 repairs, and few Air Drones.

Put them in rows, minotauruses at the front row, then deployed Kinjals, Snipers in the last column, Air Drones at the top as AA's, Repairs to refresh your units when necessary.

Increase your defence force as desire, or when your enemy force has.

This plan is garanteed to stop any ground forces and/or minor aerial threats.

if you allow him to have 99999999999 gunships then you should have 999999999 airdrones if he has 555 assaults then you should have 9999999 kindjal if he has 888 saws then you should have 55555 mino's suppoerted by other units.

1) get fedakyn early, fed's with minos are just as good a combination as hark heavy tanks with sardaukar

2) when tanks or infantry attack your minos STOP THEM, i can't express this enough for new people.  New people find out that they can press the ctrl+shift keys to make their minos fire while walking and they think it's the best thing since sliced pie.  The truth is that when minos fire while walking any unit "underneath" their firing range confuse them and they just walk in circles.  

IF your walking with a mino and a hark tank or sardaukar infantry get close, STOP YOUR MINO (click on the mino and press the "S" key.  When minos are stopped they fire more accurate and more often, and usually with a longer range

3)  Kinjhal are VERY good base defenders against harkonnen rushes.  Deploy your kinjhal near building and on the corners of your entrances to stop harkonnen rushes.  If you are worried about a early hark rush you can make just kinjhal and mongooses for the first 2 minutes of the game without loosing any money (QM settings)

4) snipers are great against a hark player that loves sardaukar.  While i personally go for fed's early, snipers are very cheap and kill sardaukar in two shots (elite and regular).  When comparing the prices i would build two barracks and make mass snipers to combat sardaukar any day.

Mongooses are great tank killers.  Everyone loves minos, but forget about mongooses.  Mongooses are the atreites equivalent of the ordos laser tank, and you see how useful the laser tank is.  With mongooses you just have to know how to use them.  With a mongoose, NEVER just throw them into a fight without trying to destroy a specific target, this is because infantry eat mongooses alive.  Mongooses are great building killers, harvestor/caryall killers, and great against gunship rushes.  The only thing other to remember about mongooses is that you shouldn't send them places alone, send snipers with them to handle infantry.  I would say that 3 mongooses, 2 minos, a repair unit, and 10 snipers could take over a spice field even about 1.5 minutes.  THe mongooses kill caryalls/harvestors, the minos kill harvestors and give defense, and the snipers take care of any rushing infantry or missle troopers.  The BEST thing about mongooses is that they fire in the run by default!! if you send them to the enemy base and find a bunch of tanks waiting, just send them back to your base and watch them fire at the tanks while walking back.

If the number of shots is irrelevant, then each unit is unbeatable.

I think Ken meant that 1 Sonic Wave can destroy every Harkonnen unit, except for the Devastator (and the Inkvine?) and the veteran ones

almost every harkonen unit stand little chance vs a sonic tank for he has more range and for almost every harkonen unit without ranks an one shot kill weapon.

noone uses sonic tanks though, they are like ordering devastators, if you have the money and time for devastators either your opponent sucks and your just playing with him, or your gonna get sacked and you just don't know it yet  ;D
