Aldebaran
Like the cold wasn't enough, today it is also raining without a stop. A plan for a visit I had for the afternoon is gone.

gryphon
we've already had snow in Berlin this year. For now the weather in Holland is the same as always. Rain...
Mahdi
Weather news person on TV said Nor'easter on Friday. Leftover from Mahdi's area.It was a hell of a wind storm.
Andrew
Yep lots of wind. Helpful in finding all the spots where air leaks are. Now to fill them in this week and wait for another wind storm in another direction to find more.It gets cold when you have air leaks equivalent of several windows open. Currently heating two attics with the direction of wind...
Andrew
So this November (and up to tonight) has been extremely warm, and no snow at all.In fact it has been the first time in 160 years that it has no snowed in Toronto in November.Well all that might end tonight. Snowfall warning of 15 cm of snow tonight.
Dunenewt
yes but this years really is much colder so far than the last few years. acutally the last 2 or years years we head very warm winters. this year I already began freezing my a** off several weeks ago. and yesterday was a very ugly day at my place :(Had snow yet? There was some nearby here, in the Niederrhein area, but I don't think there's been any in the Ruhrgebiet yet.
SandChigger
Was bright and sunny here all day. :)Almost dark out now, tho, and it only 4:30. Ah well.
Dunenewt
Its just cold, wet, and miserable here, and it wont change for a long time!
Andrew
yeah, the snow really sucked, everyone went in the ditch. Happens every first snowfall.I see Alberta has -25 Celsius, -30 with wind chill, so I can't complain about a bit a snow.
Gobalopper
-25 is not abnormal for Alberta winters. -40 is when it gets cold. :)
Mahdi
I think I may be far enough south now to avoid those -40 days. At least, I hope so!
Dunenewt
Hmm, I was told yesterday that there's a weather front coming through Europe from Russia, and will hit Germany in the next few days. Really not looking forward to that!
SandChigger
The front was moving from east to west?Isn't that rather abnormal? (In the northern hemisphere, at least.)
Dunenewt
I don't think its that rare, because I've been told its not the first time this has happened. Very cold today though, but still no snow.
Mahdi
I shovelled my drive way and then all the snow from my roof fell into it. Now I have to shovel it again.

veK
It looks like this and like that outside when I'm on the balcony Sorry for the bad picture quality, I didn't adjust any settings, just made some quick snapshots...
gryphon
Same here for me, looks about the same as on Vek's pictures. It's even -8 C here. Thanks to global warming we might even have a white Christmas this year, can't remember the last time we've had one of those.

Andrew
-6 C here now with a bit of snow and ice on ground. Gonna warm up to 0 or so until Saturday. Gonna be a warm Christmas.Nothing wrong with heat in the winter. Except when stuff melts and then freezes and makes walking/driving dangerous. Dante
Stood for 1.5 hours at a freezing bus stop in the snow, waiting for a bus that eventually arrived just after midnight. I don't begrudge the snow for falling, but the buses really need to get their act together.
