Dunenewt
It would for the population, but not the economy. As long as it didn't last too long though.
gunner154
We're seeing rain much more often than before now. Perhaps it could just be the typical rainy season starting again. The rain is not exactly like a downpour... yet.
Dunenewt
Still raining here, it is getting really boring just sat in here now. I'm going back home tomorrow though, and it is sunny there.
gunner154
It rained at work again, though we'd suddenly get sporadic downpours that last no longer than ten minutes, only to revert back to a drizzle. Sometimes, it just got sunny again! We even got downpour with a lot of sun. Weird.
Dunenewt
I'm back in my home town now, where all the floods were last year, and there's no rain here :)
gunner154
Lucky you. The weather's being very strange lately, no?
Andrew
And another freezing rain warning for tomorrow. And I have to drive for 2 hours when it occurs.I can't complain though. Newfoundland had a blizzard that lasted 2 days. Probably 100cm of snow in 1 week.Pic from 4 days ago in NFLD - snow drift 1 story high.Lots of roofs are collapsing in Eastern Canada. Some in Ontario and Quebec have killed.
Dunenewt
Why has it looked so sunny outside recently, but still been so windy and cold? It is so annoying and misleading, but still, it is getting slightly warmer.
Andrew
We have the same problem here. Nice and sunny and windy, but still cold out (-10celcius at night, 0 celcius daytime). Our roads are in terrible condition because of all the thaws and freezing cycles we have had for past 3 months (hence the freezing rain). Even the Trans-Canada Highway is in bad shape.
Acriku
TonightClear. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph becoming light.Ah, a great night to be outside. ;)

Khan
Oh man its been gorgeous down here in kent, the summer seems to finally be upon us. I just hope that it continues through my essay writing and beyond.
Vanguard3000
Weather's beautiful here, if it weren't so damned windy. Blew the earphones clean out of my head a couple of times.
Kokiri-Mentat
so I got a call from my mother today....apparently the wind blew our roof off.and we have SLATE for shingles....like 1-inch thick slate material. I guess not the whole roof blew off but a decent chunk. and 4 years ago, lightning tried to blow up our brick chimney, but instead left a gaping whole where there shouldn't be on my side of the chimney. Khan
That's true but I'd rather it stays nice now that it's sunny rather than be sunny while I work and rainy while I'm free.
Andrew
Wind warning. Going up to 90km/h. Maybe it will blow all the flies away.
Andrew
So yesterday the weather forecast was sun and cloud for next 4 days. Today it says showers for the next 4 days. :(
Beonid
Strong winds (120km/h gusts) here. Normal for Wellington...
Andrew
Severe thunderstorm warning forMoncton and southeast New Brunswick continuedAn area of slow moving thunderstorms is moving across the above mentioned region. Radar indicates the likelihood that some localities have received rainfalls in excess of 30 to 50 millimetres in the span of an hour or two. In addition wind gusts to 90 km/h have been reported at the Moncton airport. Hail may also be associated with some of these storms. We need the rain, but getting 50mm of rain in 1-2 hours will only ruin the crops and cause car accidents. So much fun watching on the radar! And of course the 5 day forecast says showers every day. BOOO!EDIT:Cool sounding thunder. Lasts like 25 seconds. The worst part is going to miss me.
DjCiD
I hate the summer heat~ there I said it.I'm much more of a cold weather man myself. The way I see it is you can always put on more clothes to stay warm.Although you can only shed so many layers of clothing before you get arrested for trying to stay cool. ^-^Then again the seasons and months haven't been matching up like they used to round here. Back when I was young winter came round October till January. Now a days it doesn't really start till January and last till April even. ???
