Anyone planning on going anywhere nice for their holidays this year? So far I've booked a trip to barcelona in July and am in the process of booking a trip to amsterdam in June... any advice? ;)

Well, we (more the wife than me) decided to take the kids to disney world.  I know they will enjoy it, but dear god, the horror...the horror. Anyone who has done this with kids knows what I mean.  ;)

Barcelona? Make a search on Gaudi if you're into art.

I will be into reading/writing, perhaps some work. chatfsh, how nice you're into such things :)

Wish you some fun with fencing. My best opponent ever was a girl. While I'd fare well with all others, she'd barely move her forearm and pass through my defense as water. Barely ever saying a word, she'd just smile slightly and wait my next try. Charging her showed to be pointless as she would not be unstabilized and react more brashly. I loved to fence with her more than anyone else, and never won. So have some fun :)

Thanks Egeides.  I've contacted my local fencing club and they invited me to come observe then have my first free lesson before deciding if I'll officially join.  I'll keep you posted. :)

My 12th grade national Board exams were in March, then the various engineering entrance exams that I wrote went on till the 24th of May, centralised counselling for admissions starts on the 19th of June and continues till mid-August, and college starts mid July. So I'll be busy throughout Autumn catching up on what I missed, and settling down to 4 years of college. All this summer holds for me is the FIFA World Cup, and the thoughts of all the people I'm gonna have to leave in 2 weeks time, and am not likely to really meet again. And since dad's been stationed here for the last 5 years, I'm really attached to this place, more than anywhere else we've been. Its gonna be hard letting go, 'coz most of my friends' dads have been transferred to ships out west or to NHQ in New Delhi, and none of them're likely to be here when I'll be back in a year's time  :'(
