Seems I alone favour Orangey-brown.

And I second the point that Ordos use Cyan-Green in the Emperor campaigns. The other green was used in Dune II, and a darker colour somewhere between the two was used in Dune 2000.

I'm a nobody, so I picked Green. Nice and bright on desert maps so my troops dont camoflauge from me in battle :P

I checked the ArtIni.txt again, and it seems that you were indeed right. The blueish green is the Ordos campaign color. I don't know how I messed it up at first. It is really the third color in the list, and if you change that color, the color of the Ordos campaign units is changed as well...

i go green as its easy to spot my units in a fight for quick selection and if i get engineered i can spot the infection straight away. also green is a soothing colour. ;)

IF I played online, I would choose purple. For the reasons above, and also because purple has always been my favorite colour.

I tend to pick the color most closely matching my house: Purple for Corrino, Green for Tlielaxu, Yellow for Ix...oh well, so I mostly play with the CR2 alpha installed, sue me.  Online I pick house colors too, though.  I don't care if you can see my units - you won't be able to do a damn thing about it.

I also vote purple. But my reason has to do with how hard it is to see on the radar screen. You can't just glance at the radar and see purple, you really have to be looking closely. It may be a very small advantage in a game, but it's an advantage none the less.
