Why is it that the good guys always have cool modern technology, e.g. mechs and a strong anti-land unit whose weapon can fire through targets while the bad guys always get stealthy units and an primitive but strong assault tank?

GDI-> Wolverine, Titan, Distruptor

Atreides->Mongoose, Minotaurus, Sonic tank

NOD->Attack buggies, attack cycles, Tick tank

On that site it said that the timeline was as follows: the Allies win in Red Alert, then tiberium drops on Earth and the original C&C story follows.

I always thought though that the "real" story was that the Soviets won RA, partly because of their ending scene (Kane assuming control of the Soviet Union) and because in the beginning of the C&C story Europe is in the hands of Nod.

But seriously, i can end this whole debate. As i said before, EVA sounds hotter. Therefore, GDI wins. NOD units are too distracted (listening to the hot chick talk) to fight...
