Spectral Paladin
I wonder if there are Fed2k members playing Magic: the Gathering.

Spectral Paladin
Lol, clamps are banned Leto! Anyway, apart from trading we could have a game online if you guys get Apprentice, a program to play magic online for free.
Cyborg
we could have a game online if you guys get Apprentice, a program to play magic online for free.I had that once. Only my friend played it, though, as I was playing the real thing :P
EWS
Where can I find this apprentice? I have always wanted to play it but players seem very limited in Scotland!
Dunenewt
I've got a couple of decks.

Spectral Paladin
You can find apprentice here. I play both apprentice and the real thing.
EWS
and how do u use it?
Spectral Paladin
Apparently you download it first ;), and then you arrange with someone to play. There is a channel in mIRC where people who have apprentice log in and you can find there someone to play.
desert_storm
I play it, some. I had a realy good elf deck (it always got first place) and it was 90% foil.
Spectral Paladin
How about playing a game online then? We could use the fed2k channel to meet and play.
Alia_of_the_Knife
M:tG is awesome! And, by the way, just because Skullclamp is banned in Type 2 doesn't mean that it's not useable: I just played in a Type 1 tournament yesterday and got second place with a Skullclamp/Affinity deck. It's really very awesome if you play in some other sort of format. Love,Alia

I play on the Mirrodin expansion. I'm looking how to play, could anyone spare there time to teach me?

Spectral Paladin
I believe the best option for you would be to buy the Core Set starter, which will teach you the basics of the game. If you want a real-time lesson, then download apprentice and pm me or msg me in msn/#fed2k. Even if you study a tutorial though or someone teaches you the basic, the quickest way to learn about more complex situations and see your skills improve dramatically right from the start is to play online. By the way, 105 cards won't do you any good, you 'll probably need more, depending of course on the deck level you want to achieve.

Vanguard3000
I used to play Overpower (an X-Men CCG), but never got into Magic at all. I played it a few times, but it's just not really my thing. Although I do really like some of the artwork in them.

desert_storm
I know this one kid who went to a geroge sail and this old lady there was selling some magic cards. Well the kid found a really rare card there (actually 2 of them but he only bought 1 because it would be ripping off the old laday). The lady was selling them for 50 cents. The kid turned around and sold it to a store for $500the store turned around and sold it for $2000
Nyarlathotep
^BryoramA^, a cloud pots is a land card. If you only have one, it won't do you any good.Let's assume you have two in your deck. If you are lucky enough to both have them on the table, each card counts as 2 land of any color. Now if your opponent would have 2 to (so 4 in total on the table), then each cloud post would be 4 land of any color. Quite a good card :)As for your blue deck, try to see if you can get Neurok Spy (Not sure if you can select your cards):Neurok Spy is unblockable as long as Defending player controls an artifact (which you have plenty :)).Get some more land cards. Like Spectral said, just a total of 105 cards isn't going to cut it.If you actually can select cards, let me know and I'll post some more details for you :)Btw, apart from basic land cards, 4 of each card is the max to have in your deck, so don't go off and get more then 4 cards of one type. Lord J
I'm probably going to buy a deck today, a friend of mine likes Magic, so I'm going to give it a try. It can't be too bad considering how many people like it. :)
bryorama
How many cards are in a basic deck? And is anyone using apprentice that I could have a 'practice' game with?
