For me it was a google search about dune 2000.

Someone once gave me a link to Westwood Underground, said they had some links to good sites. When Dune 2000 came out, I clicked the link to this site. Thought it was a good site, and returned for Emperor the same way, and stayed...

I was member of the eidos commandos forum, and I found out that a member who called himself cccp7x was interested in Dune. heard him talking about a dune forum, and asked him where I could find it, and it was this.
