"Artificial" Languages

Lol. I wouldn't class Esperanto as similar to Klingon. At least one of them has a valid reason for existance, albeit that it didnt work.

I can write in Dwarvish Runic from LOTR and I can speak a few words in Elvish.  I also am trying to learn Vulcan!

I know VB, PHP, C, C# and C++.

They are quite artificial. However, they are seldom spoken ;)

I have a phonetic chart for the D'ni alphabet (the language of the D'ni people from the Myst series), and know my name and stuff in the D'ni language.  I also know the workings of the Rivenese numerical system from the same games/books.  It's an extremely interesting base-25 system.

what's the point of learning artificial languages when you can learn real languages?

Finnish is lame language for poetry. That's why I write all my poems in English. So English has brought me joy and has helped my life a lot.  :)

I really don't have any interest in these artificial languages, because you can't use them in "real life".
