Does anyone know if QuickMatch still works? Or should we allow custom games in the ladder and then filter out results that don't match the guidelines?

hmmm I think untill the Ladder rules are voted on it really doesnt matter so just filter thru results. But once rules are voted on, then only the voted on sets.

How are Clan games going to be reported? Is there anyway to get clan manager back?

we tried qm just in case, and it match up djcid an me in less than 2 seconds.

Yeah better qm instead of customs, I don't know about BC though.

I can try a BC with someone in a clan. But I can't try a 2v2 one since I don't have any members in my clan... man if only we could get clan manager working... :-

Yeah I'd prefer to use QM rather than custom games.

when i download it, this is what it say

Open XCL Proxy

Add the following line to your hosts file: 127.0.0.1 games2.westwood.com

Play

Remove the line you added from your hosts file

Close XCL Proxys

Wheres the Hosts file?

Don't worry about that line it should do it for you. And if you are looking for that file its either:

C:windowshosts (win98) ??

C:windowssystem32driversetchosts (win xp)

I have the program but it never records anything, does it only record BC matches? does it actualy get our names and scores?

btw when i downloaded this proxy it didnt ask me to add nothing so i am thinking it did it automatically ?? but i do not know do u think that it went auto and did it its self

a) make sure you have the latest version -> http://xccu.sourceforge.net/utilities/XCL_Proxy.zip

b) run the XCL_Proxy.exe program while playing Emperor

c) check to see if your game shows up on Olaf's ladder -> http://xccu.sourceforge.net/xcl/?lid=ebfd

d) if it doesn't post here

i had a game with a guy called inme and it showed up on Olafs system so i guess it was his or mine that worked im goin to try it again and c if it works

Yeah, like me. Is there no hope for the clans? Are they completly dead? Or is there a way of revivng the in game browser thingy

Well surely we just need to redirect the signals given by that browser and create a clone browser on a website. Not that I would know how to.

I think befor you play someone, you should tell them u have a server for ladders, so that u know they have it, i told everyone i had mine on, but i played poeticwar on his setts(setts i havent played in ages) because no one was in his room, he said he was new, so i didnt think he had it, I'm not complaining, but i think befor you start a game with someone, you should tell them its a ladder match. :-

Thats why only QM should be used for ladder matches now that we know it will connect you.

QM and BC should be the only matches that record, unfortunately the Skirmish ones do too. :-

Any ideas on how to fix that or will we have to weed through the games and remove the ones that aren't done in QM or BC

I think that playing skirmish games for ladder points is fine as long as, as Dark said, the people using it all say that they are and that the game will count.
