Don't bother... Henry Kissinger got peace nobel while he was the right arm of Nixon, was one of the guys behind all the contra-gate stuff, the drug wars and so on.

Shit happens...

Hey, the Nobel Prize is named after Alfred Nobel, who invented dynamite. ;)

But I seriously don't think that Bush/Blair can win it; ehis is an international thing, and most countries view them as, quite frankly, giant d*cks. ;)

That's just because of their striking resemblance. ;D

Anyway, I thought this was the Nobel PEACE Prize, not the Nobel WAR Prize. Since when do we give peace prizes to people who start wars?

And it was the Norwegian Jan Simonsen who nominated them...

I feel a bit embarrased on behalf of my country right now :-[

But made retreat from Vietnam, where USA had no chance after such miserily prepared campaign. Also those "drug wars" are things where all US secret interventions are only rumors said by some veterans, which wanted to bring some colors to their retirement by telling fantasies to boulevares...

yeah exactly ivak. Henry might have been one messsed up man in almost every way, he is a genius beyond belief. He is one of the greatest politicans of our time and has helped, as horrible as it sounds. I cant stand the guy.

See, the nobel prize has always been a load of crap. First of all, there are many of those who dont deserve it, and those that do have no need of the prize, they will be rewarded and not by a bunch of stuffy old men.

this is ludicrous

according to regulations, the UN is still required to formally declare the Terrorist Nation USA as a Terrorist Nation so how can you give a Terrorist Nation a Nobel Prize? ::)

We just can't see the difference in this nowadays. ::)

Especially when it comes to these two. :)

good grief you all sound like overdone, idealistic, people that are totally self righteous. you complain about bias and spin, but at the same time you should listen to yourselves. you create your own twisted propaganda to attack bush. most of you guys just dont have what it takes to back it up.

TMA, please stop talking about the people and talk about what they say. Don't evaluate a house by its architect but instead by entering the house with tools to check.

Besides, you didn't backed up what you've said yourself (how do you know people can't back-up? What do you call propaganda and why would it be such? etc). And could you give me a definition of propaganda? Since by what you said it looks like you think propaganda is anything that is said and is someone's opinion!

PS: I hope you didn't included me in the people who weren't able to back-up... I can't talk for others though.

How about, "Bush and Blair invaded Iraq illegaly, without hard evidence and against the will of large chunks of their respective populations and are therefore supposed to be punished and not rewarded." That enough back up? Because I see few things in that sentance that aren't correct.

USA made another country able to become prosperous. That's productive...

Oh, so when Hitler invaded YOUR homeland, he was just helping it to become prosperous, right? ::)

Ehm, Hitler was always talking about how he will annihilate or enslave all Slavons, so maybe I could establish a prosperity on Siberia in case of his victory. Do you think US will put Iraqis somewhere to desert and colonize Baghdad by their citizens?

Also war against the Iraq wasn't aggression. It was a preemptive strike to ensure all possible threats are dismissed. Risk was too high to leave them with same government, which supported palestinian (worse if not only those) terrorists and still adequate rumors about having chemical and bio weapons. For those, who are still capable of it (Syria, N.Korea) may this war be at least a warning.
