Andrew
Very simply, the problem ishttp://dune2k.com/forum/Themes/fed2k/style.css.signature{ max-height: 50px; overflow: auto;}The problem seems to be max-height set at 50 pixels. All I had to do was view the souce of the page, look up Re-erjin999 signature and saw <div class="signature"> Then looked in CSS file. Gobalopper
How is that a problem though? That is there on purpose so that sigs that are too long don't take up so much space...
Andrew
What about a huge sig image?-> No, try to limit sig images to max 400 pixel width and max 100 pixel height. People are here to read messages not look at your sig images. Can you at least up the size to 100px then?I don't really like the look of cut off images/text. Like Re-erjin999 has a 80px image with one line of text, dunno if it would fit in 100, but its still closer.
Kiyouta
Poll graph images don't seem to work.http://dune2k.com/forum/index.php?topic=16892.
Timenn
A scrollbar that appears only while having right clicked on Andrew's signature image, and dissappearing when the popup menu is closed again is because when you right click on it, a border appears around the image, making the signature slightly bigger. Andrew's signature is exactly 50 pixels (so no scrollbar) and with that border included it will be like 52 pixels, and a scrollbar will popup.Anyway, isn't there a possibility for such an implementation like:if(browser == ie)Â {Â stylesheet = iestyle.css;} else {Â stylesheet = normal.css;}The iestyle.css stylesheet will have that fix with "max-height: 50px;"While the normal stylesheet will use the min-height property.? Gobalopper
Had to do with someone spamming and the host thinking it was coming from our site. Still looking into it.
erjin999
Connection ProblemsSorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.Got this once so far, perhaps the server was under load ?
Gobalopper
Database is on another server so it is possible that the site would be up and the database down.
Andrew
Do the table, tr, td etc forum codes work? I've tried but havn't noticed any changes when I added them.I'm thinking of making a table like I did with Dune Jihad with the forum software threadhttp://users.eastlink.ca/~andrewabc/jihad/stats.htmlSearching SMF forum didn't help.EDIT hmm, I do see somewhat of a difference. Any suggestions how to do it correctly? I was thinking 3 columns. So far doesn't seem to do a good job :P (I'm not saving it in the thread, just previewing, so you wont see any changes.)Hmm, doesn't look like its gonna work. Andrew
Like I said athttp://dune2k.com/forum/index.php?topic=8493.msg298948#msg298948Looking at the html coding<td valign="top" width="16%" rowspan="2" style="overflow: hidden;">for my info and<td valign="top" width="85%" height="100%">for the message areaAny idea how 85% and 16% add up to 100??I'm guessing the 16% should be a fixed pixel width with the rest taking over the rest of the screen space. My avatar is 50 pixels, so maybe 100-120pixels wide for the user info area.A also see the problem with the msn image having its own line. There is a <br /> right after the msn icon info. Then it continues on with the rest of the icons etc. I don't see why there would be a <br /> after it. Waste of space.
Andrew
How come in IE signatures show everything (no height restrictions), but in Firefox there are?
erjin999
Been discussed already. Seems IE is crapẽ (thats French for crap ;)) and ignores silly things like height restrictions ::)
Andrew
I was thinking that, but wasn't sure. Why does Firefox have to be so damn good!

Kiyouta
Been discussed already. Seems IE is crapẽ (thats French for crap ;)) and ignores silly things like height restrictions ::)I wish it would ignore Battlefront 2 signatures. Gob ban 'em! erjin999
Hehehe. Get Firefox, it solves the isues of sigs for you, automatically ;)
veK
why allow signatures with gfx anyway... restrict it to 1-3 lines of text...this is a forum, not an advertising contest ;)
Andrew
Some images are worthwhile. Like Vanguards Easter Mentat. Or my Fremen warrior Leprechaun. St. Paddies day is coming up!As long as the sig images are small, there should be no problems with it.
erjin999
Mine is but 100px high...to me !You should all get FFox. But if anyone really finds it annoying, I can remove it and find a text only version to show how cool I am at BF2. :)
Andrew
Anyone get a PM from larskefifaHow can you click??? I'm new hereGreetz larskeifaJust wondering if it's a real person or a bot/spammer. I've gotten some PM on other forums from random new users, which was spam.I replied asking "click on what?".
Gobalopper
No he is a real person. Instead of replying to the PM you sent he replied to the email that told him he had gotten a PM. Which I got because the reply-to address is the webmaster account.
Andrew
Mindboggling. So he sent me a PM, I replied, and he recieved email notification because he has the settings set to send him an email to notify of a new PM, he replied to the email address which is webmaster and so you got his response to the PM I sent him.
