can someone tell me where i can buy the game. i know i can but it from www.westwood.com, but i can't buy stuff off the internet. is there a store that i can buy it from. most of the stores i have seen don't carry it.

please help

I got mine from EB Game world have you tried there? I'm sure one of those you listed can order it for you (at no charge)

hehe i live in New Mexico ... i'm just next door!! well sorta..

i saw it in best buy a while ago... hmmm i bought mine in compUSA

i suppose if your lucky wal mart could possibly have it or maybe hastings... or u could probably just try and ask the store if they will be getting any copies in

well i got mine when the game was still $50. anyone remember those days. *sigh* well since then i haven't really looked for it. or if i saw it i didn't make a big deal out of it. can't help ya. :-

I paid 30$ for mine... since then I heard (from Gob I think) that EA was recalling them to repackage as an EA classic (although IMHO it was a classic a long time ago, this game rocks!!) ;D

Any idea what version it ships with? I would hope 1.09.

what is the difference between 1.09 or when u have an older version and must update it ?

Well 1.09 was the update that allowed you to use fan maps and you need it to play online.

ya i know what the updates were in 1.09 but i mean whats the prob when its 1.07 or so ?

u can dl the patch and then it works ....

If you got version 1.07 you will not be able to use the later modifications. Anyway you got info about all versions on the emperor downloads patches section...

ya but u can install the 1.09 patch so i dont understand ... it will be the same if u buy the game and its 1.09 or u buy 1.07 and update it then with the 1.09 patch ...

thats what i cant understand ... !

Well in the past people have wondered why fan maps didn't work and it was because they didn't patch. Plus some people seem to either not know how to patch or have problems doing it so having the game at 1.09 already would be helpful.

If you patch Emperor that was bought as version 1.07, it has to be the same version at the end as when you but Emperor version 1.07
