ummmmmmmmmmmmm so yeah that DOES explain a lot. IG made a game, then said: "here WW, even though you know NOTHING about this game and had nothing to do with the design, make some pathfinding for it!"

no WONDER there are millions of pathfinding bugs

can we send some Q's to WW about the pathfinding? plleaaaassssssseeeeeeee?

I think that Westwood hired them to make the game, then decided to make their own pathfinding.

You know Westwood... they wouldn't care unless you pay them to reply. ::)

Stay on topic...Besides, I've had no trouble with them replying to messages...

No the AI guy quit relatively close to the games release so WW took over that part. If I remember correctly WW did the cutscene stuff, multiplayer, and pathfinding. And of course Chris L helped out with the general direction of the game.

sent Gob am IM the other day and asked if he had even sent them off yet... how many (non-repeated) questions did we get in total? Maybe hes waiting to see if we come up with any more... :-

What program did you use to make the .xbf files?

Is there a plugin to import .xbf files from 3D Studio Max?

During Emperor's release, we know that you were brainstorming ideas for a possible expansion pack, if sales warranted it. Since Westwood has stated that there will be no expansion pack nor a sequel, would it be possible for you to release what ideas you had come up with for an expansion pack?

Do you have any rights to make more Dune titles?

Would you be interested in getting Dune Generations and completing it?

What involvement did you have in the patching, map editor, and map packs after the release of Emperor?

Would you be willing to release your tools for .xbf editing/viewing?

Are most of the people that worked on Emperor still working for you?

What were your thoughts on Emperor now? Are you happy with the end product?

How did you feel when WW decided no expansion?

What were any unit functions that were cut from the final game? e.g. the Scavanger, Repair Pad. Is there any functionality in the engine for unused properties, and what are they (eg "Scavenges=TRUE")?

What is the mesh near the end of the infantry XBFs that shows the entire model but, if changed, does not affect how it appears in the game?

How is the vertex animation data compressed (how do you decompress it), what is its format and how does it work?

What is the data in the Fxdata section of the .xbf files, and how does it work?

What would you need to do to add a turret to a unit that doesn't have one, and make it fire?

Is it possible to add a 4th playable House? If so, how?

Anything to change/modify? Or grammatical errors?
