CONAN, THE LIBRARIAN!!(lol gob^-^) uhm.....

hello, fellow fed2k comrades. i have finally reformed. i have abandoned my leet ways. I am here to discuss a brief history of, and solution to, the leet infestation.

it began as most net nuicances do, finding its way into the minds of comp geeks like the living computer program from stargate sg-1. soon it was infecting cheep sites, forums, and im chatrooms everywhere. before long, it found its way to this site, possibly the worst thing to happen to it since navaros(and I). it is about as bad as the "signature virus" thing.

my solution to leet is simple.

INSTANT TORTURE TO ALL WHO TRY TO USE IT.

ahem, i mean, hire a leet monitor, someone whose sole job is to establish a leet trash can and make sure that the leet infected posts go there.

my guess is leet was created by that one sign laguage baboon while on a drunken rampage. do you want to allow a drunken monkey language to roam free in the forums?? i ask you?!

Personally I don't find leet to be that bad. But everything has it's place, and on the forums isn't one of them. Leet monitor - job taken by our fellow mod's. Goodnight folks.

It slows communication completey.

Humans can read their native language very well, others not, since most of us speak english, even as a second language.

Imagine someone who has english as a second language, has trouble reading it heaps, only to come along to find 3 instead of e, what do they see? a 3.

It isn't fair to people new to it, people who haven't learnt english fully, people who cant be bothered to have to spend ten minutes at a single letter, and basically anyone.

To those who think it's cool looking, explain why? Or I must say kad y meva oui vuumc l337 ciq.

Sorry folks, im in a rambling mode.

Sometimes I don`t even understand what people writing without 3. For exemple: Wt r u thng. that I saw on some board and it was What are you thinking.

If this man would use 3 in his massages, I don`t think people liked his posts.

And why people using it? Becouse they think is cool show massages that nobody understand. :)

Leet is irritating in Forums. In games, however, it doesn't make a great deal. People in there is more into pushing the fire button on the mouse.

i was a leet minion because, like was mentioned earlier, i was thinking it was cool. then i saw a forum where leet was not considered cool, i compared the two, and finally realized why everyone hates it. it is not meant for forums. i still speak leet because i got used to it, but i will never use it where the majority are not leet. that just isnt right. its unfair to people who dont like to waste time being dorks. i guess i havent reformed, ive just realized how stupid it is to use where people dont know it well. youre completely right, its a waste of time, but thats what otaku do. they waste time. like this post: im trying to be more radical edward like, so i'm typing it completely with my toes. ive gotten good at it, but its hard.

sorry for my earlier mistakes, but there are two things that separate humans from animals: pity, and evil.

ive renounced the evils of torturing my un leet speeking friends, and i have pity for those who dont. and i wish them to be sent to a place of evil. so, in conclusion, gomen nasai, or im very sorry, in english.
