Acriku
I'm interested in what you guys think are some great movies out there. I just finished watching The Host (a S.Korean film) and thought it was fantastic. It's about a creature that mutated from dumped formaldehyde into the Han River and attacks a bunch of park people, and is then chased after by a man whose daughter was caught by the monster, and his family. Nice instrumental soundtrack as well. Feel free to post any old movies or new movies. I'll update it with any movies I check out.

Timenn
Great movies in general...? Wow, that is really a lot.But from movies I saw lately for their first time I would nominate at least one:TrainspottingWhat can I say? there is so much packed into this one; humour, hope, tragedy, horror, futility and so much more.Andrew, I don't know your taste of movies, but knowing you prefer cats over dogs ( ;)), I would recommend to indeed watch Amores Perros. It will make you hate dogs even more, he he. (And, of course, because it is a good movie.)

Gunseng_Harkonnen
We haven't a lot of fans of Serenity in Poland. :P Me and my mother are only ones. I think. When I see another, I'll probably kill myself. It would be a big surprise and shock.
TMA_1
Oh it wont let you down Acriku. Directed by Ingmar Bergman, brilliant. One of the most profound movies I have ever seen. I had no idea that a movie so soul wrenching could be made at that time, at the same time though I had really no idea on how film progressed in different parts of europe near the middle of the 20th century.lolcheck out Network too! You will really appriciate it.
Acriku
Ok, I have a couple more movies to suggest to the world!First: Leon (The Professional) - the international version is a must! [just saw Khan recommending it, so call this me double recommending it!]Second: Shaolin Soccer - a funny movie about soccer and a man's attempt to broaden Shaolin Kungfu to more people's liking. If you liked Kung Fu Hustle, this won't disappoint! Third: Pirates 3. Just see it. I don't have to explain why :P

Acriku
Saw The Machinist... wow! What a powerful movie! Also goes to show how dedicated Christian Bale is for dropping to 120 lbs from 180 to play the role. Must see!
Andrew
Saw Serenity. Good movie. Never saw Firefly tv show (maybe 1 episode)25 best movies you've never seenCouple movies in that list I want to see, or that I have heard of before. Of course it is missing a ton of better movies that most of the population has not seen (Pi, city of god etc).
Andrew
Just finished watching EquilibriumAwesome scifi film. 7.7/10 on IMDB. Definitely good movie if you want to see lots of action (reminded me of matrix style action).
Andrew
Watched Jesus Camp last night. Scary how they brainwash children. A couple times I LOL. Great seeing the repressed homosexual drug addict Ted Haggard on there.Michael Moore's Sicko has been leaked onto the net (while hiding it in Canada from American prosecutors...). From what I hear from reviews it is a very good movie, a must see movie.Link Apparently he just admitted he pirated the movie...Big discussion on slashdot.org about the movie being released onto the internet. Andrew
Saw Dead Man's Shoes Last night. 8.1/10 on imdbGood movie.
Egeides
While it doesn't necessarily take from its relevance, I read someone commenting that Sicko is... "well arranged", presenting popular views in popular ways but with "backstage" tricks. A lot would say "yes but it's for the good cause" I guess.
Andrew
@ EgeidesI'm pretty sure Moore did that in all his documentaries. And it works.
Egeides
Possible. Maybe I should try that to argue that I am worth being paid to study. Not so sure I want any and all others to follow his lead at random though.Or all I'll get is "Alright, it's kind of interesting. I preferred the Matrix."
Megashrap
I'm waiting for Live Free or Die Hard...that looks to be a good one.
