I like that the Doom movie will be the first one to have FPS-sequences in it, although I don't see any positive things in this kind of shooting, since people have already seen "replays" and such from other games already. That, and if the sequences are too fast and too action-paced, many of the audience can loose the continuity of the movie, and we get another "braindead in space".

What I really don't like about the movie is that the monsters are supposed to be some kind of virus, mutating into unbelieavable forms (resembling the monsters from the game, naturally). Damn it, Hell is one of the most important aspects of Doom 3! Besides, it will be something new, not the already tried (and failed) "virus-gone-wrong-and-released".

Oh well... it will become what they make it into...

Man... it won't be as good as the game. The movie should be like Doom IV or somethin'. I mean new stuff, not just record the game.

You are, of course, being sarcastic, right?
Of course I am. Bridget Jones was an action-adventure with budget-straining special effects and explosions. :) Romantic comedy, ha!

Don't worry... If it's gonna be produced by Hollywood, it's gonna be another great all-in-one:

with action, even more action, comedy, romance, educational, maybe even a documentary...

And then there'll be some cartoons about it, t-shirts, etc etc etc.... and they'll grow ritch.

Ta-Da!!! A great mouvie...

Just like the game then.  Could this be the most faithful adaption of a videogame ever?

On other news, gamespot decided to call The Hulk a Videogame adaption - surely a comic book adaption!

Well, stupid and simple things are fun, so why not make a stupid and simple film where the only audio info is of the guns bursting bullets and monsters screaming. Eventually some "Oh, fuck" line of the main character. I mean the main character could have his face covered as in the original DOOM with a helmet. We don't need him to look like anything as long as it shoots.

Hell, they could fill up 1 and a half hours with a machine gun shooting continuosly and some weird noises to keep you awake.

Sorry if I'm trashing this project but it's the most isiotic thing I've ever heard. I mean it's a mouve made after DOOM. Come on! I mean a mouvie made after Half-Life could work... The Longest Journey... there are so many games with feeling and stories... but they chose DOOM. I loved to play DOOM... but this is plain stupid.

I actually enjoyed Doom quite a bit. I think the action was awesome and I really liked the part when it turned into first person mode and it was just like the game. That was some cool stuff......

I would recomend seeing it, the storyline is weak but who in the right mind would go to see Doom and expect anything more than just loads and loads of hardcore violence.  :)
