That's right, it's finally here.

So, what are you doing for the day?  Who do you think will win (New England)?  Which commercial is by far the best (Pepsi is always a strong contender, but you can never count the Beer companies out)?

I'm supposed to be going to a friends place but I just got off the phone and it's looking less likley now.  Dammit.

The best commercial will probably be one of the trailers.  Im not sure but I think Van Helsing is releasing a new one and maybe Chronicles of Riddick.

I saw a bit of a report on this... what IS it? It seemed to be some kind of sporting/event-cum-capitalist-convention. Are people bowling? I saw lots of people in the sort of thick body armour you would expect of a hockey goalkeeper - helmet and padding.

Alright Superbowl sunday has finally arrived!

Im rootin for New England personally, there a good team and plus they will crush the Panthers :). Although it would be nice to see North Carolina win, when the underdogs win its always cool. Anyways, Im just gonna chill around the house wait for the game to start, munch down on some food and have a relaxing day.....

No big deal this year..

I'm going to- oh wait, it's already over.  :/

Anyway, Twelve Monkeys will be on in about ten minutes, so I'm going to tape it.  Excellent movie, that.

Oh, and earlier on today, I played some puck with my roomate and some other blokes at a nearby rink.  I used my new skates (just got them yesterday; before, I used my roomate's father's) and they seem to fit decently.  They need sharpening, though.

I haven't skated for like 5 years, and I played hockey for 8 or 9 years. I miss it.

1/2 Time was ok. Too much pop though.

Went to watch a hockey game, ran to local university bar, drank and watched 2nd quarter to the 3rd. Didn't win a coors light couch. :(

Go here to begin the US football history lesson.

Ah, so the 'bowl' is a misnomer. American Football, yes... bears no resemblance to the football the the rest of the world plays, but is not unlike the rugby that most of the rest of the world plays, when you remove the big pillows they stuff up their chests.

Well the Patriots won as expected...

I was originally rooting for them but mid game I had a change of heart and wanted the Panthers to win because I thought to myself, New England has already won the Superbowl once and Carolina hasent. Carolina worked hard all season to get here and they have never won. I wanted them to win...pity things dident turn out in there favor.

It was a really close game. I think if the panthers had not kicked off side that the Patriots would not have been able to get within field goal range in time and the game would have went into overtime. That would have been better for the Panthers. Unfortunately they had that bad kick which I think cost them the super bowl.  Overall one of the better super bowls I have ever seen. It was even better than the time my team, the Baltimore Ravens, won the super bowl a few years back. That was a great game too though. I like the championship game a couple weeks ago where the Patriots kicked the Colts butt. The Colts used to be a Baltimore team and they left one night for Indianapolis. That was a sad day in Maryland football history.

Awesome game.  Totally worthy of its prefix.  I was routing for Carolina.  They hadn't won it before, and I have a friend who has the same name as their runningback. ;D  The Patriots are the champs, but both teams played with heart and gile and should be proud of their performance.

Interesting that in 38 superbowls there has never been an overtime...
