kazaa, illegal?

is kazaa now illegal? I cant find a place to download it. I need some files from screwtape letters and am wondering if it exists anymore. if so could any of you give me a link to it?

Kazaa is not illegal.

downloading files is not illegal. Acting as a server to other is however.

so if you share and you d/l a MP3 teh moment it is d/led you are breaking teh law because other can d/l it from you

Kazza is legel, just useing it is againt the law(like having a VCR is legel but copying tapes is not)

Kazaa is a well known method of spreading virus'. Be warned...

Kazaalite is indeed illegal. It infringes on the right of sharman networks to install the spyware on your computer so sharman networks sued based on copyright infringement. The Kazaa Lite project has been shutdown and Kazaa has made it so older versions of kazaa will not work very well. So older versions of KLite are pretty much useless. Isn't that kind of funny? People use kazaa to steal for the most part and now the owners of kazaa whine about people stealing from them. Read the full story here:

Pretty ironic.  Kazaa Lite is still downloadable, and the project is back, in the form of "KaZaA: Ressurection ".  Very handy, indeed.

You wont get caught or sued by the RIAA any time soon, as long as you shut off sharing your own files, or use de-hook tools and IP filters that come with KaZaA.

True, but must of the stuff on kazaa are viruses, and the quality of the MP3s suck. Though it is still the fastest P2P service there is atm.

Bit torrent is a hell of a lot faster, but I have no idea how to use it.

BitTorrent is far better indeed. And I'm sorry to say Mahdi, but it works so good because many people don't know how it works, so only the people who really put time in it will have results.

How it works: You need to download BitTorrent, or BitComet or any other application that can download .torrent files.

Once downloaded and installed, search on the internet for files which end with .torrent Download these, and BitTorrent will start downloading the files from other users. The key of succes in BitTorrent lies in that you MUST upload in order to download, so you can't switch off the downloading, and while you are downloading, other people are downloading the parts you already downloaded earlier.
